Calling for a truce. Everyone read.

Hello people of TT.
I asked that everyone read this because a lot of people have been involved to csome degree in the ugly bickering that has gone on here recently.
But most specifically I am talking to Vlad, and SheDevil, TK's mental illnesses, etc etc etc.

For the good of the forum and for the good of our sanity, and for the good of the world we need to call a truce.
Im not going into some long drawn out explanation cause you all know what Im talking about. From now on the public bickering is ending. If you have to bitch, do it in PMs. If you can't/won't then don't do it at all.
We're not going into any further discussion. No conditions, no exceptions, no "I will if he/she will". Just reply with "I agree to this truce and I will no engage in any bloodshed." and that will be the last of it.
If someone breaks the truce (and that goes for any clear violations of the rules and/or harassment and/or abuse by anyone directed at anyone) your posts will be immediately edited or deleted.
We're going to turn TT into a peaceful place again.

Its about damn time Ness that you asserted your authority to MAKE this forum what it should be. This was long overdo. Good form, thata girl, thats the Ness I wanted to see!

And in the hope that things will remain as they should be under this more assertive modding after this pact is made, I will make it as well.

(Though I can't promise I won't drink it. 😉, I AM the original vampire afterall. 😛)

For the record, I don't like force either. But some things just will not happen in a mixed crowd unless you make them happen and while I'm sure you understand that, this is perhaps one of the rare instances I've seen you demostrate it. Its not something you or anyone should have had to do (as a moderator), but the effort is commended, and theres no dishonor in it as it was made with pure intentions.

I can only hope anyone that breaks this pact will be put to shame. Anyone who will cross this line after agreeing to it, will have shown their true negativity and complete disregard for goodness, wellness, and peace.

They say its only human to hold grudges, but nothing says we have to.

No. I've spoken with him again, and he's listening to reason. He has deleted the group and is undoing what he has done. I don't expect anyone else to forgive him, but I have.

So lets not make fun of him, but pray (and for those that do not pray) hope and wish that he gets better. He's a human being, and deserves just as much compassion as any of us.

Also, I think for this truce to be effective, more than just us two need to agree to it. I'd like to see a forum-wide response to this, so that no one is absolved just because on a technicality they did not agree.

I wouldnt be so sure, Vlad. I had repulsive messages posted in my Smartgroups group by him. I canceled his membership and set it to aprove all members (its only for pic hosting, its not a real group) and he tried joining again just now. I remain guardedly optimistic.

I see, and I half expected it wouldn't end here. But what people that read this need to understand is, is that he is not himself 100% of the time. The one I talked to and reasoned with was the real him. But the ones assaulting us are not.

Thats why this is difficult and unpredictable. And its sad that Daniel has to pay for what his other personas are doing. I don't expect anyone to believe that, but I do, its been proven to me. And I really need no more convincing.

Its very possible. I haven't ruled that out. But I've looked into this sort of thing, and all the symptoms are there. Whether a person chooses to believe this or not, he's disturbed, but I know theres a part of him that wants to be better.

Anyways, we shouldn't focus on this more than we need to. Our priority now, if any, is to heal the damage here, on a person by person basis.

I concur Ness, we need a truce. I humbly accept this truce since, I for 1, have violated the screen with verbal 'lashing outs' and those were primarily directed to Kalamos. I hope he reads this and accepts my most sincere and honorable apologies. I also apologize to anyone else that I have offended and/or lashed out against. I have decided to consult my Sega Game Gear when I feel that I am at the 'boiling or breaking point'. Long live the peacefullness of the screen!
