Was at a wine tasting with friends and this question came up. Thought about it though and feel only if used without consent or understanding.

I believe If both partners are on board, it can actually strengthen emotional and erotic trust.

If one partner wants it, and nags about it, and the other partner is not interested, then it can end the relationship.

Like anything in a relationship, done right, it can be great. Done wrong, it can be horrible. The trick is communication and finding out what makes it great for both parties and respecting the other persons feelings.
