Can we organize a NATIONAL TICKLE DAY?

OK..maybe this has been done before.....but I haven't seen it...so excuse the late-night ramble.....

Has it ever been done? Has anyone ever tried to establish a National Tickle Awareness Day? A day where people can silently show their support, interest, commitment to our favorite past time.

I realize it would be difficult....but imagine....we collectively join forces with all other tickling web sites, discussion groups and the like....to establish ONE DAY where people would wear something symbolic to recognize each other.

It doesn't have to be anything unusual, or expensive...it could be as simple as a specific color.....say Orange.....(why Orange..I have no idea!).

What do you think?? Can we as a community come together for ONE DAY and pull it off? I honestly think so. It is simple, easy to participate and can be done without really "outting" oneself.

As a marketing professional, i would be willing to support a cause like this and help pull it off....but I would need help.

Is anyone interested???

Well, I like the concept, but I think the color thing is too vague.

I'm sure there are people who have "orange" (yeah, I know it was just an example) in their wardrobe, and if they wore it just by chance on that day, we'd think they were a a fellow tickle lover, and they weren't.

It would have to be something more specific.

There's a National Orgasm day, National Clievage (dictionary please) day... and all courtasy of the Sun Newspaper, I believe. It may not be that hard to establish. What we need are shops that sell things to do with tickling. It'd be a great place to meet ticklees/lers too

Someone suggested a while back that we adopt April 1st as National Tickling Day. Any day would work, of course, but April Fools Day would be likely to be picked up by some mainstream source looking for something cooky to run.

I dunno--but I think the past 24+ hours have been my tickle day...I watched two of my friends wrestle/tickle the crap out of eachother last nite...and tonite, I sat on a lazy boy recliner with my friend in my lap, and another girl came up and started tickling my feet...I didn't even know her!!! She just said I didn't look like I was smiling enough for a party setting...and I poked her back (she was GORGEOUS and had a beautiful laugh) just to instigate, and she grabbed my hands, and started wiggling her fingers on my ribs...with my friend still in my lap...laughing at me...it was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! So I say maybe it was my neighborhood's tickle day...but I'm going to have to go with GT--like Earth Day, Tickle Day is EVERYDAY!!!!!!! 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

They have National Days for just about anything you can think of so I see no reason why we shouldn't have a National Tickle Day. I would suggest July 1 as the date and anyone who wanted to be tickled would wear a T-shirt or badge that said Tickle Me.

Well, if some of you'd like to get together for some tickling awareness. I'm sure we can arrange something. I still have yet to hear of any of these so-called "gatherings" in the South. There should be one, and I'll set it up myself if I have to.

Just as long as we don't get paraded down the street
