Question for y'all...

So I have a DVD copy of my friend's band, from a show they did a few weeks ago. (Someone recorded it with his digital camera and made a DVD.)

But I was hoping to pull the tracks off and burn them onto a CD. Is that possible? Does anyone know how I might go about it?

Thanks much

Yes. I use 'Creative Recorder' which allows me to 'record what you hear'. (One of the options.) You can then use the 'Creative Wave Studio' to edit your recordings and save them as mp3's and as seperate tracks. I've done this several times for the reason you stated as well as making 100's of sound bites from movies, comedy cd's, etc. PM me for more info.

There are some programs that can rip audio from a DVD. Unfortunately, most are illegal in the United States ('Course, if you aren't there, it matters not.). Assuming you aren't in the US, a guide can be found here: http://www.glump.net/content/audio_dvd_rip/guide.htm I've found it to be quite useful and easy to follow and it is still relevant, even two+ years after first being created.
