I have been waiting sooooo patiently since the end of last season for this season to start, and while it may ONLY be a pre-season game, I will still be watching NBC at 8pm EDT for Buffalo at Tennessee.

FOOTBALL!! FOOTBALL!! FOOTBALL!!

I know most of the players I see will not be on the starting rosters, but you never know....and what the hell it is FOOTBALL!!!

So this to me is the un-offical start, but a start nonetheless.

LETS HEAR IT!! ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!

Yes!!! Football is back. This is the best time of year. I am a die hard Lakers fan, but football is my first love. One thing is, the NFL NEEDS a rookie salary cap! Rookies holding out of training camp is ridiculous. How can a rookie make more than a vet?

I agree Primetime. I think the next CBA between playes and the owner will have a rookie cap. The Vets are as sick of it as you and I are.

By the way, Collins looked good. Young...I think this is his last year in Tennessee. Not so great.

Matthew Stafford has this huge contract and he hasn't played at all in the NFL yet. Right now, there are rookies holding out. My opinion is this: If a rookie holds out, then if he doesn't make the Pro Bowl in his rookie season, he has to pay the entire contract back.....

Vince Young is not good anyway. When he was drafted, I told people that he will not be an elite NFL QB. He is just another running QB. He can't read defenses. His only threat is to run with the ball. Remember, the University of Texas changed their offense to a shotgun spread option just to suit him. He can't throw to save his life. All of his highlights are runs. Vince is going to either be a career backup or he needs to change position. Like TE.
