Can you turn your ticklishness off?

I was dating a girl many years ago who could completely turn it off. It would totally bum me out. I got her to let me tie her up once and she wouldn't respond at all. I was so disappointed! I had ordered Dominoes before I tied her up and when my doorbell rang, I stopped trying and paid for the pizza. When I went back to the bedroom, she had gotten free and was getting dressed and didn't want me to tie her back up. I think she was getting to the point of breaking before I had to leave to get the door. I found out just how ticklish she was some time later when I had her laying down and had her legs in a scissor lock and one arm under me and holding her other one over her head. Since it was a surprise attack, when I started tickling her armpit she went nuts!!! She was trying so hard to get away she was pounding her heels on the floor so hard she actually hurt them! I had to stop.

If I’m mad, my ticklishness tends to decrease a little, but I also fight off the offender. Normally, I just won’t fight it and laugh and enjoy. No chance of that when I’m upset.

I did have a classmate who kept doing it and after a bit I did lowkey start enjoying it. He was also a friend though.
