Let's see how many fans there are of the Johnny Carson Tonight Show.

Loved that show, but the original Tonight Show began in 1954 with Steve Allen as host. He left after the 1957 season and Jack Parr took over. Parr quit in a huff during the 1962 season and a series of temporary hosts filled in until 1963 when Carson was brought on as permanent host.

My favorite moments were the great Carnak skits. I can still hear Carson's voice "placed in these envelopes which have been hermitically sealed and hidden inside. . ."
