Chat room problems

i can't seem to get into Chat rooms online. That includes (The TMF Chat room and other chat rooms online). everytime i go into a chat room and log on with my password and screen name it kicks me off again and the Chat room page goes away so i have to log back onto Internet Explorer again.

also every chat room i try to enter say's something about Java Chat

what is Java Chat? and would that help me get into Chat Rooms online if i did Download this Java Chat?

You need to get a Java plug in for the rooms to work.

Go to Sun.com download the plug in that matches your system and browser install and you'll be able to visit the rooms 🙂

What plug in should i Download?


i went to sun.com website but there are so many plug in's it gets confusing. i have Windows XP Pro

Go to http://wwws.sun.com/software/download/ and download the one that says "Java 2 Platform:Standard Edition". I have Windows XP home, so that one worked for me.

And if that doesn't work, try Java Web Start Developer Pack, too. For some reason I have that, so I dunno if that has to do with it too.

it didn't work at all. i Downloaded both plug in's that you told me to Download from sun.com


but it still every time i try to enter ANY Chat rooms online. it still kicks me off and the internet explorer page's that i open up to get online. each time that disappear's on me

(But this only happens when i try to get into chat rooms)

talk about weird...
