Christmas greetings

I've been quite busy lately, so I had little time to make new artwork to post here. Anyways, here's a new one.
Kitzalia and Maryke have been quite naughty (well at least Kitzalia was) and now they face the consequences: Santa Claus is really going to town on these two. 🙂

What a wonderful surprise! It's been far too long since we had a new Scavenger picture to admire! Hey, I think you've hit on the original reason stockings were hung over the hearth... it was Santa's method of getting them out of the way! Poor Kitzalia! She may have trouble explaining why she must be naughty if only to be nice (would-be soul saver that she is). Maryke looks quietly resigned. I think she understands that "I was only following orders!" won't fly with Santa Claus! Santa himself, a twisted old elf with a rather cunning leer, has obviously had much practice determining the truth... he'll get the full story! The setting is close and comfortable, a perfect happy tone for the season despite the jolly torture! Your usual sand and granite pallet is rendered warmly cheery by the firelight, and the bold red and green accents add much visual fun while remaining well integrated. The roaring hearth is a nice focal point for the picture, particularly so when framing Santa's accusitory finger (which then nicely directs viewer attention). A perfect Christmas card for the tickling communnity! Thank you and Merry Christmas, Scavenger!

Santa so evil. XD I love the expression on Maryke. Seems to me that she's trying to hide her happiness that Kitzalia is under the fingers coupled with complete resignation as LBH mentioned above. I'd say excellent coloring, but you always have excellent coloring. The way that Santa's bears is less the poofy, curly, almost solid thing that it appears to be in the idealized version and more a real, wild thing fits his new devious air quite well. Wonderful holiday fun.

Another great picture! 😀 . got to ask, sorry if its been asked already, why does she have that Iron cross eyepatch? Is it something you've seen or been inspired by, or is it something detrimental to the character? Or is it just cause it looks cool? 😛 .

First of all, thank you all for your nice comments! 🙂

The metal cross as an eyepatch dates back to my first concept drawing for Kitzalia (wich is still around here somewhere). As she's an inquisitor I wanted to give her some details that suggest a past of fierce battle (the crusades anyone?) So she would have an eyepatch covering a horrible scar. And she has a mechanical right hand too. To make it less stereotypical (and because she's an inquisitor) I opted for a metal cross instead of the "pirate"-type eyepatch. Looks way much cooler indeed 🙂

Ah, and I'm going to fix that typo in "Christmas". Quite stupid of me, actually, considering the many times I re-read the other text to make sure there were no mistakes in it.

Looks like Santa is the one who is being naughty but that's nice. Great detail work, each face is especially good. Santa has such an evil look, the girl being tickled is in agony and the other girl looks scared to death because she knows her feet are going to be tickled next.

BTW not to point fingers but that Iron Cross could be taken the wrong way
If I am not mistaken it was also a war medal for the Nazi's in WWII but I am sure you don't mean it like that. Altough sexy nazi's should all be tickle tortured

I wasn't calling it an "Iron Cross", taragohn. It's just a cross shaped brazen eyepatch. I'ts cross shaped because she's an eccentric inquisitor (It's just another grotesque detail of her outfit) and the Inquisition was an institute of the medieval Catholic Church. I don't think people will confuse it with nazi iconography. 🙂

fantastic artwork as always..nice bump whoever did it..but Santa for shame..tickling their feet when he is supposed to be filling their stockings..hmm did he remove their stockings himself??
