What song is your favorite of all time??

Mine would be Bittersweet Symphony, by the Verve

what's yours?
😀

This is a tough question for me to answer, as my favorite song can vary from time to time. Right now, and for a long time now, my favorite song is and has been "Dancing in the Moonlight" by King Harvest from 1973. I just love the song's mood, lyrics, and upbeat sound. It is a "feel good" song when I listen to it.

Hmmmm....tough question....although....

"The Israelites" by Desmond Dekker always pops in my mind first when thinking of an all-time favorite.

Drew

That's hard to answer, there are so many classic songs. I guess "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. 😎

Damn .. hard one this

Are we limited to ONE??

I'd have to say Fleetwood Mack " Rhiannon" and Stevie Nicks "Edge of Seventeen" and "Gypsy"

Honorable Mentions go to Metallica "Unforgiven" and "Nothing Else Matters" and Evanescence " My Immortal"

and Jimmy Buffett "Margaritaville"

It changes every day, but:

Metallica - Enter Sandman. I love the intro to that song!

DMX ruff ryder anthem. tupacs..hail mary, life goes on, california love, and changes.. yes i like that metallica song tickledorange(by the way i found them stories and read them..very nice T.O.) mentioned.. enter sandman..very good song to lift to. Godsmacks..bad religon. awesome song there, i race to that song. i just have too many to list. those right there are my tops of all of em tho.

If we're talking best "classic" song of all time, as in older than 20 years old, I would have to say "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty.

If we are just talking our own personal favorite songs of all time, eep.....I guess I'd have to go with "How You Remind Me" by Nickelback. Quite possibly the most perfect rock song ever, IMO.

Mimi

fav song

I have to say Changes by 2pac - i love that song, i think that id what he was tryin to say his whole life

Tough choice to make. I think if I were to cast my vote it would be "Won't get fooled again" from "The Who"

Somw runners up would be

"Baba O'Reilly" The Who
"Over the Hills ann Far Away" Led Zep
"Spirit of the Radio" Rush

Honestly, I can say that it would bary on a day to day basis

its just got to be nights in white satin by the moody blues.

Oy vey!

I so easily get lost in the sixties. I always listen to WCBS-FM 101.1

"Bridge Over Troubled Water* will always be a favorite. (And amost anything else by Simon and Garfunkle)

"Love Grows where my Rosemary Goes", "Windy", "Hold me, Thrill me. Kiss me" and, even though it's hardly mainstream, nor part of sisties music, BARBERSHOP QUARTET!!!!!!! LOVE it when they do the National Anthem that way. Ours or Canada's.

wow, only ONE song??? I couldn't possibly pick just one, as I am a music FREAK. I have something like 1,200 cds, and listen to pretty much every type of music. But I'm gonna try: I'm assuming you're talking about regular "pop" type songs, so I won't pick an aria from an opera or something. I'm gonna have to go with "Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye. SUCH a great song.

One huh? Hmmmmm let me think on that one player.
I think the one that comes to mind first is "Good Lovin'" by The Young Rascles is one"Morse Code of Love" not sure who did it first but redone by Mahattan Transfer."Zombie Jamborie" by The Kingston Trio, and to many more good songs by everybody else who posted before me had a lot of good songs that I have enjoyed over the years too but these top three are my favs.

Like Lime said, too many to name, but since I've always been a Floyd lover, I'm gonna go with "Comfortably Numb"

One of the greatest "bubblegum pop" songs ever:

"Little Willy" from The Sweet

Drew

"Comfortably Numb" is a Freaking Beautiful song, but I'll put my name next to the Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want." Could listen to that one all day.

Or maybe "Don't Fear the Reaper," or, "Touch of Grey," or "Under Pressure"... it's so hard.

Or maybe Steve Miller's "The Joker." Heh. Seriously. I like that song.

"Wish You were Here" by "THE FLOYD"

But I regard the segment "Welcome to the Machine","Have a Cigar",and "Welcome to the Machine" as the best 10 Minutes of Rock Ever!🙂
