I was listening to some songs today with a friend and this took us WAY back! Here are some songs from the 80s that were a lot of fun to listen to. This is what music was all about. Jams that make you want to dance. Not like most of "today's" music....

Hopefully others remember these too...

I love rocking out to cheesy 80's music

Lol

This stuff wasn't cheesy. This was really good stuff! A whole lot better than "today's music". Man, I miss my youth. Music was so much better then....

Haha! Come on prime, 'Sombodys Watching Me' by Rockwell is cheesy as hell but nice selection otherwise. 80s music was the best!

Classic you say? This country crossover still stands out to this day...

Are the lyrics thinly-veiled references to the then-new AIDS epidemic?

"Genius of Love" - Tom Tom Club

Mason Ruffner's 'Gypsy Blood' ranks as one of the ten greatest rock and roll songs I've ever heard in my life. He was a guitarist from New Orleans that Springsteen saw and liked. Shame he never caught on.

I love the eighties, such an important musical decade. I have hundreds of favourites from the electric-pop genre but I'd say these are up there more than the others:

Visage - Fade To Grey
Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark - Enola Grey
Human League - Love Action
Heaven 17 - Temptation
New Order - Blue Monday
Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels
Echo & The Bunnymen - The Killing Moon
Pet Shop Boys - Too many to name but chiefly: Suburbia, It's a Sin, Home And Dry, Heart, Always On My Mind, Opportunities and West End Girls
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
Phil Oakley & Giorgio Moroder - Together In Electric Dreams
Duran Duran - Hungry Like The Wolf
Spandau Ballet - Gold
Erasure - A Little Respect
Fine Young Cannibals - Johnny Come Home

Gotta have some Duran Duran. 😀

I don't remember the artists for all of these:

867-5309
Sausilito Summer Nights
Run To You by Bryan Adams
Rio by Duran Duran
Major Tom
Entire album of Diary of a Madman by Ozzy (soundtrack of my senior high school year)
and anything from Rush, Yes, and Genesis that came out during that decade
