The Cleveland Cavs have fired head coach Tyronn Lue, after an 0-6 start to the season.

Honestly, I don't think this move is justified.

The Cavs lost the best player in the game, Lebron James.

The team was not expected to be good this year.

Considering the success the Cavs had in recent years...

Four straight trips to the NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018, and winning a championship in 2016. .

Lue was at the helm for three of the appearances in the Finals.

Lue should have been given some time/leeway, after the loss of James.

Hopefully Lue will get a new position soon. He deserves it.

Thoughts on Lue's dismissal?

Lue was definitely a victim because, unless you are totally deft, you knew that the Cavs would not be the team they were with LeBron. Even though they had some of the other players of the last three to four seasons, they are definitely not the same team. LeBron was the catalyst of that team.

Some guy named David Griffin made a completely unwise comment in a commentary on NBA.com.

Griffin said.

"If there's no Lue, there's no title"

Excuse me?

The Cavs. "Title" is Lebron James, and he went to LA this past offseason.

Without James, the Cavs are a long way from winning a title.

Even if they are not as bad as their now 0-6 record, they are nowhere near good enough to compete for a title.

If the Cavs finish with the worst record in the NBA this year, and get a number one lottery pick next summer, they will be building "toward a title" in a few years.

I dont know what Griffin was thinking when he made the comment that he did.

Edit to this comment so I dont have to put up another post.

Barbershopman, I agree with you that Lebron was the catalyst of the team, and that Lue was made the victim. I think that the Cavs were completely wrong for firing him, especially so early in the season, considering the circumstances of James just having left this past offseason.
