Now will people believe me? The Cleveland Cavaliers were very overrated. Like I said, they are STILL a one man team. They did NOTHING to get their team ready to beat the likes of Boston or Orlando. Shaq is OLD. Jamison was a wasted trade. Mo Williams is very very mediocre. AND.............

***Newsflash*****

Lebron James is.....

NOT

the best player in the NBA. That title still belongs to Kobe Bryant. Lebron does not have the will to win like Kobe. That is why Kobe is better. Lebron has the better physical skills (although Kobe is 31 compared to James' 25), But Kobe is extremely focused to win. Until Lebron can do what Kobe has done, Kobe is the best player in the NBA.

Oh yeah, a Black Mamba is a lot more deadly than a "King".

Lebron can't do it by himself. His supporting cast were mediocre, but people made them seem great. They are a bunch of stiffs. Lebron will probably stay in Cleveland, but until he gets a REAL supporting cast, he will never reach the top. Plus, Lebron is more of a "Pippen". He needs a "Jordan"....

Oh well Cleveland, another year, another choke. The Cleveland curse lives on!!!!

Don't be too mad Kis...it's all fun in sports...

I just want everyone to stop gift rapping everything for Kobe and Lebron.

It's just like last year, everyone just assumed that it was going to be the Lakers and Cavaliers in the finals, were the other team just suppose to roll over and not try because that's what people want?

Next year, let's check all the team and make a fair prediction for the finals, like when the playoffs start.

I would be mad if it put one dollar in my pocket or enhanced my life in some sort of way. At the end of the day it's a game.....one that I personally will NEVER pay one cent of my money to participate in.

And LeBron's been leaving Cleveland for about three years....he never wanted to be here in the first place but unlike some players, he knew what the word "draft" meant. I'm no fan of his but did respect the fact that he followed the course and gave his best in spite of the fact that he never wanted to be here in the first place. But I'm not a fan of the game of basketball; I'm a football fan and Cleveland Browns masochist, and proud of it! So I'm glad this is over and hopefully the city doesn't burn over it.

Congratulations to the Boston Celtics; good luck in the finals.

Well, what surprised me was how the Cavaliers rolled over & quit in the last two games. That had to have been awful for any Cavaliers fan, watching them lose big at home in Game 5, & then choking away Game 6 in the 4th quarter.

prime, while it must be disappointing for Cavs fans that the Cavs to got ousted from the playoffs, it still doesn't mean the Lakers have the NBA title won.

There is still a pretty good team out there, named the Orlando Magic, who will have home court advantage if the Lakers and the Magic meet in the Finals. Historically, the team with home court advantage wins the Finals.

First things first, the Lakers have to beat Phoenix, which I think they will. My guess would be that the Magic should beat the Celtics. That series might be very interesting. If I were Laker fans, I would be rooting for Boston to win the Magic/Celtics series.

Mitch

I just read a prediction on a site called sportsnetwork.com which forecasts that the Magic will win the Celtic-Magic series in six games. That would seem like a fair prediction. I've learned, though, in sports playoff series, one can never predict, because sometimes the "underdog" wins.

Mitch

Hey Mitchell,

I haven't claimed the Lakers WILL win the title. I think they can, and they probably will. If the Lakers get to the Finals, I am hoping to play the Celtics. We OWE them big time.

I really don't want the Magic. They OWE us.....

I wonder if "Prince" James will leave Cleveland. I don't think he will, but who knows. But if he stays, he needs a better supporting casts. Those guys crumble under pressure.

You're laughing now Prime but LeBron will likely win as many titles as Kobe when his career is over. He's only 25 and I think he'll win at least two titles before he hits 30. He carried that entire team all season and unfortunately they couldn't win it all. It would be nice if they had a Rajon Rondo on their team.

I see Lebron like any young superstar, perhaps even Michael Jordan.

Until he gets a better supporting cast, really puts the team on his back, and plays some D we won't even get to the finals.

Cleveland has no depth and just lack that killer instinct.
Their performance is Boston in game 5 was atrocious. They rolled over and died.

Okay to swing this back to my hometown team (Dallas Mavericks) why is it that Lebron gets some what of a pass while Dirk Nowitzki gets butchered?

If Im wrong please let me know and I'll gladly admit and own it, but Lebron is getting killed as half as much as Dirk would was or would be. When Dirk won his MVP it was enjoy it because the only way you'll get another one is with a championship ring. Lebron wins two MVPs and there almost no talk about how he can't get it done or how he doesnt have it when it comes time for the playoffs or the finals.

Please, again if Im wrong I'll admit and own it, if not someone tell me what's the difference?

I hate Cleveland. they cost me so much damn money this year. glsd their gone. now my Celts move on. not sure if they can beat Orlando though. thats a well balanced team.

If the Big Four (counting their best player, Mr. Rondo) plays with the same intensity and talent they had in the Cleveland series, then they can win. Sadly for them, their weakest starter (Perkins) will be matched up against an absolute BEAST in Dwight Howard.

Plus, why is everyone assuming the Lakers will make it? How bout the Suns?

I actually think Boston also has a good chance to Beat LA, as I like Boston's depth better than LA's depth. We know about the big three, & we know about Mr. Rajon Rondo, But Tony Allen, Glen Davis, & Rasheed Wallace could prove to be tough covers for the Lakers' bench.

I want to see the Suns vs. the Magic in the finals. I think, however, that Orlando will beat the Lakers in the finals with the X-factors being Jameer Nelson & the Revenge factor.

thetmfobserver, I think everyone is assuming the Lakers will be in the Finals is because no one believes in the Phoenix Suns. They beat Portland where brandon Roy wasn't 100%. They beat the old Spurs. Now they have to beat the Lakers. The Suns will have the same problem the Jazz had. The Lakers' length.

Plus, the Lakers are (or at least should be..) focused on smashing the Suns. They (nor Laker fans) have forgotten the losses to the Suns in 2006 and 2007. We had a 3-1 lead with the likes of Kwame Brown and Smush Parker. No one has forgotten about Tim Thomas' shot in game 6. That shot still hurts. The Lakers want to exorcise some demons from the past.

Nothing is guaranteed, but the Lakers should pull this out.

🙁 an upset Cavs fan here! this article sums up how i feel

http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2010/05/cleveland_cavaliers_at_boston_4.html

harsh but true unfortunately. it looks like lebron will be leaving, thank god my football (soccer, im english) team are more successful

also, i disagree with people who say lebron isn't the best player, he's won the last two MVPs by a landslide, he's certainly the best now (not the greatest career wise obviously), just doesn't have the best team. Kobe and Dwight have better teams

So far, what I thought at the start of the season has happend. Boston and the Lakers once again! (Unless my SUNS can pull off a miracle.)

Wildben, the reason why Kobe is the better player than Lebron is Kobe has KILLER INSTINCT and a will to win. Lebron doesn't. Lebron is more physically gifted than Kobe right now (then again, Lebron is 25 compared to Kobe is 31), but Kobe has him beat mentally.

Lebron got the MVP because he is on a ONE man team. Kobe has a better supporting cast. Lebron will be the best player once Kobe retires......

I wouldn't count out the Suns. Apparently, Mr. Andrew Bynum has a knee condition that is getting steadily worse. This should have been addressed immediately after the sweep. If Bynum is ineffective in the series, I could see the Suns legitimately stealing the series from the Lakers, as the Pau Gasol/Lamar Odom combination does not strike fear into opposing teams.
