CM Punk Lets It All Out

That may have been the single greatest moment in the history of pro wrestling. (provided it doesn't turnout to be an extremely well done work).

it wasn't i posted above if you scroll up that the WWE told him to go out and say how he felt but they had no idea what he would say, and that they had planned to cut his mic whenever they felt he went to far

They have "come to a deal" with punk that he will fulfill his non-tv obligations at live events until july 17th, but he will not be allowed on the mic and he will not appear on tv

Yeah, and Ricky Steamboat really ended up with a crushed larynx in the 80's. Point is the entire thing could be a swerve. Not to say CM Punk hasn't been dicked around, but it seem just as likely that the writers looked on the internet and took notes on how some fans feel about Hunter, Steph, the booking, and some of the angles and used it to develop a swerve. Then again if they were that smart they wouldn't have people saying the shit they were saying.

Guys at the end of the day...everything not this angle...is going to be crap...end of story. And even this angle may turn to crap.

its time for the stable era again in wrestling... gang warfare.... i really do hope this is a serve for a true nwo/dx style invasion where punk starts it and cena turns heel......

and cena turns heel......

not gonna happen, not anytime soon if ever. The WWE right now is really hurting for main event level babyfaces. Raw has Cena and Mysterio and Smackdown has Orton...thats it

Where as heel wise Raw has- Punk,Miz,Del Rio,Truth

and Smackdown has- Christian,Barrett,Sheamus,Henry and Rhodes is close

They can't afford to lose another face to a heel turn, and Vince doesn't want Cena heel because he sells so much merchandise to kids

Bottom line is if your not six feet seven and look like a heman figure your not gunna get any where in the wwe. Look at christian.

besides of course

Benoit,Guerrero,Mysterio,Punk,Christian,Edge,Orton,Angle,RVD,Jeff Hardy, Booker T,Jericho, Michaels,Bret Hart, Rock, Austin, Foley, Flair,Miz,Savage,

and those are just people who have held a world title. The "guys have to be big and muscular thing", isn't true and is said far too much for something that isn't

Vince McMahon himself has often proclaimed his desire to have wrestlers that have a certain physique.

Allowing smaller wrestlers to become champ doesn't prove your point entirely when you consider some of the motives.

Most of the people you listed had the type of physique that would appeal to Vince. Only Mysterio (who won the title once and is used to appeal to latinos), Christian (never champ), and Jeff Hardy could be considered as not being muscular or big.

Flair came into the WWF having been considered to be the best by most.

And I'm not sure why you listed the Rock who was a 6'5 football player with a great physique.

Austin was 6'2, 250. Randy Savage was about the same size as Austin and he was champ twice in the WWF, for 1-year from WrestleMania IV to WrestleMania V and 3-years later at WrestleMania VIII.

Who on your list has the WWF put their full force behind? Most of the people on your list ended up still working mid-card matches after they were champ. None of them have had the type of push that Hogan, Austin, or Cena had.

Ultimately the most important thing is who can get over. If a guy who is CM Punk's size is the most popular guy and will sell a lot of merchandise then he will be the guy. Unfortunately some guys never got the chance because of their size.

i agree i dont think guys like orton and rock and savage and about 3/4 of the other u mentioned could be considered not action figure looking...... benoit was small in height but he had huge neck muscles and arms.....the warrior wasnt that big and he was champ.... basically its who gets the attention of the crowd.... you know what is interesting though u never get the pops you do in the old days though.... if u go back and watch some of the old matches at the pin fall or when certain things happen the crowd would go off the rictor scale.... and even punk doesnt get that

Nobody gets that... and crowds haven't been that hyped since the Attitude era.

As for Punk, his segment was the best in recent years. I'm still not sure if it's a work or real though. It's hard to tell.

Rock, Austin, Benoit, Mysterio, Edge, Orton, Angle, and Savage were all on the Juice, and with the exception of Myterio & Benoit, all were at least 6'0" or better. However that is not the main issue in the WWE, the main issue is politics, and the fact that CM Punk's title run was cut short because he dared to stand up for himself (more importantly to Mark "Undertaker" Callaway). Who the fuck is the Undertaker to tell CM what is appropriated attire when he hasn't broken Kayfabe in his life (well 2 time for t.v. interviews). I don't care how big of a star he is, he was in the wrong. Even legends are above scrutiny no matter what any of these stupid mark want to think.

When a 240 lbs man jumping off the top rope, and hitting you in the chest with his elbow, goes from being a finishing move to a high spot, that's when the wrestling industry started to go down hill. Matches just got dumber and dumber, and the performers became more, and more reckless. Talentless wonders like Jeff Hardy and New Jack who's only "gift" was the ability to jump from stupid heights, and career ending matches like TLC matches have to many risks and to many people get injuries that they wouldn't have gotten 20 years ago. If it wasn't for the so called "extreme" wrestling the business would be better off, because the wrestlers would be healthier and less of them would be using painkillers.

The attitude Era was probably the shittiest time for me as a wrestling fan. I can only speak for my self, but DX mooning the camera might have given others a hard-on, but it did nothing for me. Aside from the fact that Women's Wrestling was given a chance to evolve for a while, it sucked.

If it wasn't a work, then why are they still talking about it on SmackDown? I wanted to see what the follow up would be, and it turns out they were still talking about him, if it was a shoot they wouldn't have said anything. On a side note, SmackDown is the better show from the looks of things. Better angles and better matches. Christian getting the push to main event status is almost worth Edge's retiring. Of course my dream Mania Main Event would have been to see Edge vs Christian (I can't help it, their from Toronto, I'm from Toronto, they could have it at a WrestleMania in Toronto... Toronto could be the special musical guest... it would be great.)

I think Rey was juicing before he went to WWE, Billy Kidman would be another example of a guy who was using roids as well. Unfortunately the WWE & most fans are to stupid to simply support a guy for his athletic ability. If that were the case guys like Dave Batista, Bill Goldberg and Jimmy Hellwig never would have became stars, and guys like Benoit, Guerrero, and Mysterio would never have gotten on the juice.

Rey only won the world title because the WWE was trying to cash in on Eddie Guerrero`s death. Christian was world champion (YAY) having beaten Randy Orton, and Jeff Hardy sucks.

...his mic would have been cut at the mention of Brock Lesner, and since the McMahon offspring are both married nobody can afford another MSG moment in their careers. It's a publicity stunt folks, and a damn good one. I agree with everything he said mind you, but it's a work, of that I am sure.

Looks like I was right after all, then again when it comes to this particular industry I usually am. I really wish people would start listening to me more, but then they would have to believe shit they don't want to.

I forgot about Christian's historic 48-hour run as champ.

which was a travesty, then what was the point of putting the strap on him when it would disappear so quickly?? that was a waste...now he will be known as a transition champion, the worst label to ever have

So if your not on the same mountain as randy orton, john cena or undertaker your not going to hold the title for more than month. Christian is fantastic on the mic. He just doesnt look like a person you want to put the weight of the company on.

I understand that, but 48 damn hours?? are you kidding me?? I would've understood a month but c'mon

I'm guessing it was one of those "his contract says he gets to be champ" so let's get it out of the way things.
