The garden is officially planted. I have yellow and red cherry tomatos, beefsteak tomatos, broccoli, carrots, white onions, and sweet bell peppers. And along with the family of vorpal bunnies who live behind my house I also have two gnomes now to help guard my garden.

I named the gnomes Venray and Classy.

Now the yearly competition for the best garden with the old retired fart behind me begins anew.

Sounds good! I got most of mine in the other day. I have zucchini, beefsteak tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, basil and lemon balm so far. Hoping to get sweet green peppers and chilis in this week. I thought about trying to do horseradish again. But, last time, it mutated and took over the entire garden and out into the yard. lol

I can hardly wait for things to get going so I can make my zucchini salad! Yummy!!!

Beautiful garden, yes.

But did you even TRY to ask for The Giant Clams help??

Drew

My grandpa is 84 and has been growing a garden every summer ever since I can remember. He planted one this year. He has Corn, Butter Beans, Squash, Salad, Potatoes, Tomatoes, and Cucumbers. My grandparents also have three Pecan Trees.

That will assure you have no crops come fall....

He used the giant clam as fertilizer...that is help enough...

I know a guy that in order to protect his garden from the deer, rabbits and other hungry critters, his yard looks like an armed encampment.

I don't want to stink up my backyard. Besides, I think you were banned from Indiana a long time ago.

I know a guy that in order to protect his garden from the deer, rabbits and other hungry critters, his yard looks like an armed encampment.

This is why I have installed anti-duck/anti run-of-the-mill-bunny fencing. It also keeps the neighbor's puppy out too.

What, no hammock? Where will you drink your Mojito after a hard day's digging?

C'mon Kered, get your ass in gear. 😉

Alternating garlic and marigolds around the perimeter keeps out most animals. My sister-in-law uses this and no fencing at all and rarely has anything get into her gardens...which make kered's, mine and those of most folks look like a little flower box.

We have an abundance of groundhogs here in Pennsylvania that would LOVE to:munch:.

Zomg! Is beeyooteeful! I have to post my Garden pics here too! <3

This is from May 21st. The corn is significantly larger as are the other plants. I have not taken new pictures in the past few weeks though.

I have corn, zucchini, and watermelon (which has yet to sprout).

My garden is small as I don't have a lot of funds to tear up the whole back yard. I figure I'll start small and then next year if I am still in this house I'll expand it.

PS: I am planning to experiment with potatoes as my roommate left them in the bag so long there are 6" to foot long roots growing.

It has been rumored that Tortuga loves sweet corn.

Um....... Carl?

The last guy who started a fight with CrystalLight has hated life for about three years now.

Just sayin'.
