Scared brought this up, in response to my post in another thread. It's got me thinking. This, in turn, has warning detectors going off in several major government institutions that none of you have ever heard of, so I've got to be quick.

I've always enjoyed skin-on-skin contact, when it comes to tickling, and the particular activity of sliding my hands up beneath a 'lee's clothing to tickle her that way appeals to me greatly. I've typically written this off to two things: the overall 'mischievous' quality of it, and the fact that the 'lee gets a more intense (read: 'better') experience out of the playfully heightened sensation.

Scared brought up the point that this activity is also less formal than tickling someone through their clothes. It has a feeling of "special" about it. At the same time, it's less intimidating than a situation of full nudity. As someone who respects his tickling partners greatly, and is grateful for them (sometimes expressed a bit too intensely, admittedly, through being verbally appreciative more than is really necessary) this makes some sense to me.

I find that the more I think about something, the more I identify with "well, yes, maybe that IS true," and that is already happening here. I know that I love being trusted and wanted, and someone allowing me to tickle her in this fashion certainly entails that. All the same... well, like I said. I do tend to identify with something I'm thinking about at any given moment.

What do the rest of you 'Lers think? Is anyone else particularly turned on by the idea of sliding one's hands up underneath a 'lee's clothing, and if so, could this be a part of the reason why? A feeling of trust, of 'something special,' without the situation being quite as intimidating as complete nudity?

(Not, mind you, that I've anything against complete nudity *rubs his hands together...*)

I can definitely attest to feeling that sneaking my hands under a 'lee's clothes to tickle her is somehow more exciting, but I've never tried to reflect on why I feel this way.

The "secretive"/"hidden" aspect of it? The sheer sensual difference? Who knows...

Oh yeah. The idea of sliding my hands under my lee's shirt or down along the waistline of their pants is a very appealing one. It just adds to the mischievousness- a sort of "Ooh, lookit what I'm dooooing, what're you gonna do about it?" kind of feeling. ^^;

Besides, if they're wearing particularly tight clothing (the more fools, they), you can always play the "Ho noes! My fingers are stuck!" game.

Fetishes split into distinct bands of behavior. Thanks to the wonders of human psychology we all bring specific bias to our likes and these layer together and form the different areas.

With tickling there are distinct prefrences that involve clothing.

Some want direct skin contact.

Other want to tickle through clothing (there is a group that seems to be larger then average here that likes tickling through sweaters)

And there is the under the clothing aspect that Az describes above.

These differences lock in at the fetish formation stage. There are a lot of reasons for why one may get one and not another. If each person who responds describes why they like what they like we'd see some patterns emerge over time.

With respect to the under the clothing folks I'd wager the key aspect of the behavior is the taboo aspect that the behavior hits. Placing your hands under anothers clothing, and touching them is a highly personal act, and is an 'invasion' behavior. Clothing denotes a boundry. By reaching under it you are violating the boundry, and all the emotions and such that are attached to such an act come to the fetish behavior. That adds a thrill etc. I figure that this is one of the core aspects of this 'flavor' of tickling.

Another is the humiliation aspect. The ability to cause a fully clothed lee to become helpless in a public (clothing denotes public settings usually) probably keys to many who like this. I'd consider this a secondary path to this flavor.

One can go on, but I think the idea is clear.

I know you were looking for the 'ler' imput here but I wanted to speak up as a lee who has been on the receiving end of mischievous tickling fingers that have found their way under my clothes. Some tickles have been the innocent, or not so innocent, feathering of fingertips under my sweater as we stand in line somewhere. Definitely fun, affectionate and yes, on occasion a bit embarrassing depending on spots touched and how ticklish I might be at that given time.

Other times it has been a playful, fun, tickle fight, sort of thing that becomes more involved, if you know what I mean. A shirt comes untucked, the belly gets exposed, shoes slip off and fingers wiggle their way into socks. Fingers trapped between the pants and leg feather their way up and down. Its fun, sensual, even sexy and the clothing stays on.

It works at almost all relationship levels. It can begin and end there and the lee ends up a little rumpled, disheveled, smiling and breathless. It can also progress much further in a more intimate relationship and the clothing is literally tickled off you.

So I would have to give a rousing "YES!" to the question is this a turn on.

when i'm feeling...er..."evil", i often sneak up behind cloudslave and slide my hands under her shirt. and while she enjoys that and often turns to kiss me, the devil inside tells me to tickle while the tickling is good. normally, it's the soft and gentle tickles on her ribs and stomach...she squirms sooo nicely when i do that.
as being someone who is big on physical affection (i'm a good hugger), having that skin-on-skin contact when i am tickling my favorite 'lee is so much more of a rush than using tickle tools.

from another lee's point of view. me personally im self concious about my body. im not skinny...im not over weight either but i have a few rolls so i get self concious if like im being tickled and a hand goes under my shirt that they are gonna feel it and idk its just an insecurity lol thats why when being tickled and most times its what happens im fully clothes and if i have a sweatshirt on they just tickle ontop of the clothes and it still tickles. i notice when being tickled i often try to pull my shirt down so my bare skin isn't exposed. maybe im the only one who does that but who knows.
