Comic book to movie casting call

[General Zod]

If you had your choice for anybody to play the characters in a movie about the comic books you read who would they be?

Patrick Stewart would play General Zod=the pre-crisis version

Ashley Judd as Faora Hu-Ul-another pre-crisis phantom zone criminal

Sara M. Gellar as Supergirl

Not sure on who to play Superman

Christian Bale, the new Batman, was actually my pic to play Supes. But he makes an even better batty if you ask me. Superman would be a hard role to fill....

 

[He-Man]

I don't know who I'd pick to play He-Man (MOTU has a comic book, but unfortunately, I think it's about to end...too bad-- it was even better than the new cartoon. )


I'd pick Christina Applegate to play the Sorceress (from the new He-Man 'toon). From watching her on "Married..with Children", I think she'd be good at switching from sometimes cold and bitchy to nice and caring , just like the Sorceress (Yeah, the new Sorceress could be mean at times...but hey, get stuck watching some damn orb full of power in a dark, creepy castle that you can't leave for long, and see how long YOU can stay in a good mood...besides, Adam WAS being a brat when she first met him. 😛 )

For Man-at-Arms...maybe that same guy who plays Jonah Jameson in the Spidey movies.

For Skeletor... the guy who played Skeletor in the horrible MOTU movie (he was probably the ONLY good thing about that movie. )

For Prince Adam (the new version..no way I'd go with the old one with the dorky haircut) ...can't think of anyone, but I'd be willing to take a shot at it (hey, I'm short enough--remember he was a kid in the new series-- and I know I could pull off Adam easily).

LOL, now this is just freaky... was talking about this with my flatmate just this morning!

Superman we were drawing a big blank on until he mentioned the guy who plays Angel... uh, David Boreanaz? Sounds weird, but he can act (kinda), he's got the height and with the right hair cut...

Want a real tricky one? Venom, from the Spidy comics. I'd want Bruch "the human chin" Campbell playing the human part of the charcter and the black suit version done as CGI. But the audience might get confused as he's played two bit parts already *pout*.

Just to throw a slightly different question into the mix, out of all the movie versions of comics that we've had, who's been your faourite actor in a role? I'd have to say... Hugh Jackman as Wolverine felt perfect (uh, in the second movie anyway) but I just can't give him the nod as EVERYONE in the X-men movies felt spot on. So... I'd go with William Dafoe as the Green Goblin. Yes, the suit looked like something out of Power Rangers (though what else could they have done?) but the performance was just breathtaking, so good I actually cheered when he did a callback in Spiderman 2.

I know Punisher didn't do that great at the box office but I thought that Thomas Jane was pretty impressive.I think in an Avengers flick he could be Captain America if he dyed his hair blond.I also see George Clooney as Iron Man,and Eric Bana as Hawkeye,I have no idea who'd be good as Thor.

Nicholson did a damn awesome Joker.....

THAT role fit him perfectly....
