Hi!

I'm a super lurker, but wanted to try my hand at comics. I just wanted to know what everyone's preference was on the story of a traditional comic was.

Do you like a bit of an into? A written story to go along with the pictures? Do you like it to elevate into adult content? Are there any certain "things" that NEED to be present (besides tickling) in the comics?

Tell the story the way YOU want to tell it. That's the best advice I can give you. When you tell a story that you're passionate about it shows through. Trying to tell a story that will please everyone is a waste of your time and your talents. J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5, Marvel Comics) once said, "You can't tell a good story without offending someone."

Write what you like and leave the rest to your storytelling abilities and your audience.

Aside from that, develop a nice CONFLICT that will stimulate reader's curiosity to go on reading till the end of the story.
