Competed, for the first time.

I have been a member of a local Boxing team for around 3 months now. I finally competed in my very first competition. It was a tournament, between 6 boxers, myself included.

I ended up placing 2nd on the night. I am a bit disappointed, as I knew I could have easily won the final bout, but I made one stupid mistake, and I was hit very hard for it.


I am just happy to have finally competed. I look forward to my next oppurtunity!

Congratulations! Second isn't bad for your first go 'round. I'm not a fan of what boxing can do to the brain, but I appreciate any of various forms of martial art. So long as you're doing what you love, more power to you, man.

2nd is pretty impressive, especially considering it was your first competition, quite worthy of a pat on the back in my humble opinion. I wouldn't be too worried about not winning; mistakes are there to be learned from. Just out of curiosity are you orthodox or southpaw?

Southpaw. Training has been good the last few days, and my trainer has made it a point to kick my ass. I'll be more prepared next time.
