Computer-Goodbye

I've been home since Monday. When I got home, my computer was gone. The Windows was corrupted. Last time this happened, it cost me $200 to fix. I wasnt going to spend $200 on a nine year old computer, so.. I bought a laptop,which was delivered today. Its' going to take a bit of getting used to. The guy who hooked it up asked me if I wanted him to take apart my hard drive. That would have cost a lot more money,so I said no. As I'm sure will surprise no one, I have many pictures of womens feet, etc. The guy said they take apart hard drives in his shop. OMG if they see whats on there, lol, and they are my service people too.

So, I'm back. Hopefully to stay.

You can probably salvage your own hard drive information, with a USB/IDE adapter. They're not that expensive. I think mine cost me about $20, when I had to salvage information from three different hard drives, copying to my external.

Every guy has weird shit on their hard drive that they don't want anyone to see. Just as every HS kid back before the internet had stuff under their bed that they didn't want anyone to see. As long as it's not kiddie porn....those computer geeks won't freak. Congrats on the new comp. 9 years....shit dude....you got your moneys worth. Mine is just over two years and I doubt i'll see three! A laptop will be better as you move around often with your mom. Look into turning your phone into a wi-fi hotspot or find a starbucks/mcdonalds nearby the next time you're away from home.

I just was trying to play a CD, and it got caught in the player. I figured out how to load it, but cant get it out. I'll be calling the store tomorrow.

I'm glad you and your mother finally made it home and she is feeling better. As GQ said people who fix computers have seen it all, unless child porn or something is involved I doubt they much care. If you are still having that problem we talked about shoot me a PM and we'll see what might be done.

I didn't mean to imply you had child porn saved if that's how you took it, just saying I've heard of people being arrested and jailed when pedophiles take a computer in to have it repaired. As they should be. Sorry if I'm getting off topic. You are both home and doing better. That's what matters. 🙂
