After pittsburgh smeared my colts all over the field like butter, they deserved the superbowl. I'm glad because it's easier to swallow losing to the champs LOL......they pretty much did to Seattle what they did to INDY.....

Congrats Steelers fans

And the MVP is... Tight End Jeramy Stevens for stalling 2 possible Seahawk scoring drives with drops and poor blocking all night. Congrats Jer! Didya bet on the spread or something? :sowrong:

He showed up more than Joey Porter. Stevens said one thing that wasnt really nothin. Joey Porter was the one talking sh*t and u heard his name less than a handful of times. stevens got some passes and fu*ked up with drops but he wasnt the only one. Porter is the one with the ring now though so doesnt matter anymore

Tickle_Fiend is that all you got? Joey Porter got didn't get his name called as much as Stevens. Joey did just what he needed to do. You win and lose as a team and ask Mr. Stevens when he gets his brains unscrambled how it felt to get the daylights popped out of him at the end of the game. There were so many ney sayers that said we couldn't do it. Joey can keep talking all he wants. The Bus is going to the garage as a Superbowl champ and The class act Rooney family gets another title for our great city. Go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said it doesnt matter because the Steelers won. Im sayin that Stevens may not have had a great game but neither did Porter. Porter's a top LB and he didnt do much in the game after all his talk of being fired and all that other garbage he was saying. But im glad to see the Bus and Cowher finally did it

Yes but Porter did what he had to do and all the hype was on him thus taking the pressure off everyone else. Mission accomplished. Joey can run his mouth all he wants. You didn't hear his name called because not much action came his way. He did what he had to do.

please...u playin in the fu*kin superbowl and u wanna tell me nobody had pressure on them...porter was just lookin for the littlest excuse to say something...he said he felt his team would win and that his tackle was a good one....the first part didnt happen but u didnt see porter with a sack

I think Joey made 3 solo tackles and playing ROLB he is up against the left side of the Seattle line, the majority of the plays Seattle called were to their right the opposite side to Porter. He never got beat deep, I dont think he missed a cover assignment and also he contained the edges forcing Alexander to go up the middle again away from himself.

Stevens might of scored a TD but he also dropped 3 very catch-able balls plus he had holding and false start calls against him. Not to mention Porter had the last say not only with his ring but wid the hit he laid on Stevens near the end of the game.

because he agreed with u...just because a seattle fan feels there were bad calls doesnt mean they dont understand or they are whining...there are a lot of none seattle fans who feel there were bad calls...i dont like seattle but i didnt pay attention to the holding replays...i just thought seattle blew it with drops most of which were unforced and should have been caught...despite all that they had a chance the nhass throws a pick...and i cant believe they bit so hard on that reverse pass...2 weeks of preparation and they didnt notice that the steelers like to do reverse's and passes with randle el? they did a good job shutting down that steve smith screen against the panthers but got hurt by a trick play that they should have prevented

But they wouldn't prevent the play when one Pittsburgh never used that specific play all year and two you have a backup safety in the game. Great play calling. And what I was talking about earlier was the majority of the plays were run away from Porter but when they came his way he did what he had to do.

Jeremy Stevens is.....SOFT. man, that dude flat out sucked in this game. even when he caught his TD, it looked like he was going to trip over his own feet and i think he was suprised he actually did. man, he sucks.

as for Porter. notice Seattle never put Stevens near Porter. plus, i dont think Pittsburgh blitzed as much as i expected them too. i expected them to come after Hasselback hard and destroy him. they sat back in zones a lot. for those who think Porter did nothing, a LOT of Seahawk plays went AWAY from Porter. Porter didnt blitz as much. Joey Porter had a good game. he made no mistakes. he did his job. what is he supposed to do as an outside LB? leave his responsibility and run to the other side of the field, just to make a tackle. no, Porter did a great job. he did what he was supposed to do.

Big Ben didnt look good at all. but, he didnt make THE HUGE mistake. that INT was bad, but Big Ben did just enough not to blow the game. he also made enough good plays to help the team win. i am surprised that Pittsburgh didnt run the ball more. oh well, i dont think they care at this point.

the Seahawks lost this game because they lost. their record was bloated this year when they played the NFC West, played Indy when Peyton and crew took the day off and beat teams like the Giants when Jay Feely missed three field goals. Seattle is a good team, but they really werent that good. i was shocked they actually made the SuperBowl. but they had a great season nonetheless and nothing to be ashamed about. unless you're Jeremy Stevens. man, he sucks....

After that game I actually feel like the Seahawks are better than I expected. They did a good job and really screwed up with that INT...They could stick with the Steelers anyday so dont think because they lost this one that they're a bad team...Actually the Steelers didnt look as good as I thought they would. They had some good plays, all of them were touchdowns...The game just went there way but Seattle isnt a bad team...If they can keep Shaun Alexander they'll be competing for a while...Hass is only 30 and did a good job with those receivers...They have nice big receivers who showed that the Steelers cb's arent as good as people may have thought...they are fortunate enough to have a great front 7...now that the games over lookin forward to the pro bowl, the combine and the draft

I dont care if they've never done that SPECIFIC play before...its just how they reacted...the corners should have stuck with there men...they bit hard and got hurt...its not like it was anything special....they should have been prepared for somethin like that after that play they pulled on Cincy

Thank you all for the congrats. We all suffer and celebrate with our teams, and let me tell you, it feels GOOD to watch your team win the big game.

And the whole Stevens/Porter thing? It was stated at the start of the game that Cowher was glad for Porter's trash-talking because it kept the media away from Big Ben and the rest. Job well done.

Now, LET'S CELEBRATE!!!!!

Boy oh boy, my Uncle in Seattle must be pissed! :shake: LOL

I agree on all accounts. Jeramy Stevens plays on another team next year as a backup at best. 😎

Just curious to why wont he be playing in Seattle next year? He did in fact have a career year where he started 12 games and played in all 16 games, he had 45 catches for 554 yards which is a 12.3 average - he had 7 catches for more then 20 yards and scored 5 TD's in the regular season.

He was the second top receiver for Seattle in the playoffs with 11 catches 104 yards with a 9.4 average and 2 TD's

But he is soft? I would think they would be pretty solid numbers for a running team, anyway...

Yes, it looks like it did! Wow, that was really a big thrill! My 7-year-old nephew took off with my Polamalu Super Bowl jersey last night and said he was wearing to school today. The size large jersey didn't exactly fit. I wonder if the little bugger actually took it to school today.

Well, the tree comes down tonight. Too bad, I was starting to accept it as a permanent fixture...
