Congratulations to Roy Halladay. He just threw the first no-hitter in post-season baseball since 1956.

He yielded only one walk and struck out 8 in the 4-0 victory.

Amazing to do that to a good-hitting team like the Reds!!!!

I just got home from attending this game. What an amazing feeling to watch "Doc" Halladay's history making performance up close and personal. The atmosphere at the ball park tonight was just phenomenal. This was the second greatest Phillies game I've ever witnessed in person. 🙂

And the second no-hitter I've ever seen in person.

Go Phils!!!

1. I have no idea why we don't use a left-handed starter (especially Wood, who pitched 8 perfect innings last time he saw the Phillies).

2. Halladay's strike zone was massive, according to that oh-so-revolutionary K-zone thing on the side. He definitely got more than several calls his way, including the strikeout that Rolen started a fuss about.

Amish you put Millwood or Mulhollands game over a playoff no no wow. I'm just guessing you didn't see the Bunning game.

That's awesome that you got to see baseball history in person, AmishTickler! Did you happen to get a video of it?

I wonder if anyone has interviewed Don Larsen yet?

haha, no, Duece you misunderstood. Sorry, I guess I was a little vague, but the greatest Phillies game I ever saw in person was Game 5 (both nights!) of the 2008 World Series when the Phillies won it all.

I did see Kevin Millwood's no-hitter in 2003 at the Vet also, but I wouldn't rank that above any post season victory I attended.

Another historic moment for a sport that badly needs good news. Not many people seen it, except in Philly. TV coverage of baseball playoffs is a turd. In the 1970's EVERYONE watched baseball in October, even if it wasn't their team.
