Congrats to the Mavs on winning the first championship in franchise history. I'm really happy for Dirk and Mark Cuban.

Dirk showed that he's one of the greatest to ever do it and was the best player in this series.

JJ Barea and Jason Terry played their asses off too. A great team effort.

Miami should hold their heads high for their effort in a great series.

Hey Fiend, how come I'm not bowing to the "King", or should I say "Captain of the Guard" James?

Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks. They finally got over the hump. Enjoy this feeling Lonestar and Flock, and all the rest of the Mavericks fans. Now you will understand what I mean that regular season accomplishments, mean nothing compared to winning the NBA title. Enjoy your parade...

DIRKALICIOUS FOR PRESIDENT!

Dear Miami: Quit playing basketball.

Congrats to the Mavericks...you played well, I am happy for Dirk and I am glad Jason Kidd finally got a ring...but I still hate Mark Cuban...

I hated that pre-season celebration by James, Wade and Bosh (so did Barkley). Got to still win it on the court AHOLES!

I'm glad for Dirk and Jason Kidd and the rest of that veteran team.

I'm actually not a big LeBron hater, myself. If you'd asked me for my opinion of him 18 months ago, I would have said that he seems boisterous and a little flamboyant without being narcissistic and that he appreciates being liked. Not bad for an NBA star.

And I have nothing against going to Miami to win a ring... it's not like the Cavaliers had a seasoned veteran to help him out while he was there.

But that 'The Decision' program was so tacky and unnecessary and the presentation of him Wade and Bosh was so over-the-top that it really hurt his reputation.

hahahaha...

thanks Primey , I know hard that is for you especially with the complete dismantling of the Lakers by my Mavs . :fallingbanana:

I will still disagree with the whole regular season thing . Lets be honest , This Mavs team might have one more run in them next year if the league plays. But they had to win this year being one of the oldest teams in the league . J.J. and Chandler are free agents along with Caron . Obviously they need to resign those guys but for next year the Mavs may need to get a legit 2nd scorer who can create his own offense to take some pressure off Dirk . Roddy may be that guy , he just needs to play along with Brewer so the Mavs get younger

Stuart Scott said this morning that the Heat are a bunch of frontrunners. They can sure turn it on when they're two games up, but when things go wrong, they fall into confusion, and they die like weeds after you've sprayed Roundup.

They may NEVER win in the current configuration.

Happy to see you take the high road here. You're right, Dirk played his ass off and Miami couldn't figure out how to beat the zone defense in three straight games.

I'll give Dwayne Wade credit, he never quit, too bad his teammates let him down in such grand fashion.

Hell of a good series. Who knows when we might see basketball again with the end of their collective bargaining agreement.

Funny, I recall you telling me that the "King" would be crowned this year. Yep, another year, another Lebron failure. Let me guess...He didn't have enough help this year...

Q: Why didn't Lebron go to college?

A: Because he didn't want to show up for the Finals...

"I asked Lebron for a dollar, he gave me 75 cents back. He doesn't have a 4th quarter...."

People can hate Kobe Bryant all they like, but the one thing they will never say is that Kobe Bryant doesn't show up in big games.

Maybe Lebron will win a title before Kobe gets his 6th. Eh, I don't think so...

Yeah, it doesn't warm my heart the Mavericks beat the Lakers, but better them than the Heat. At least I can say we were put out by the champs..

All NBA teams will have issues. This lockout is going to be ugly. I hope they get it fixed quick...

As for regular season accomplishments. Ask yourself, what is sweeter? Winning a division championship and having the best record overall, or being the 3rd seed and winning the NBA title?

He didn't always though, Shaq carried him the first few times. Not that Lebron doesn't deserve all the shit he is catching, but he is still young, he has time to get "the clutch" gene

Um, not quite. People always look at the NBA Finals in 2000, 2001 and 2002 as just Shaq. Kobe contributed a lot, but since the Pacers, Sixers and Nets didn't have anyone that could stop Shaq, he was a bowling ball crashing through pins. Kobe never disappeared in the Finals. That is reserved for Lebron James...

Lebron has no clue on how to be clutch. He doesn't have that killer instinct. Dwyane Wade is the guy on the Heat with the killer instinct..

i agree with that but he can develop that, and losing in the finals twice now might be what it takes.

I didnt say Kobe disappeared, just that he wasn't the one carrying the team or coming up big. He didn't always do that.. and remember for a few years after shaq he caught shit for not being able to do it without him
