I didn't pay much attention to the series, with all the studying for my exam, but I just saw that the Dodgers defeated the Braves tonight, to advance to the NLCS. I want to congratulate the Dodgers and their fans, as well as of course, my friend Milagros 317. I'm happy for you, mils, and for the Dodgers. I wish the Dodgers luck in the NLCS.

I was about to post this, but Mitchell beat me to it. The LOS ANGELES Dodgers are on their way to the NLCSW! LA is going crazy. This team gives us a lot of hope as it has been 25 years since our last World Series title and appearance.

You mentioned 1991 for the Braves. As painful as that year was, I was proud of them for making it to the World Series, and coming within outs of a championship, after so many years of being in last place.
Even more painful for the Braves, was 1996. That was the one year that they should have won the World Series, where they really blew it. Winning the first two games in blowout fashion in NY, and then blowing the infamous 6-0 lead in Game 4 at Atlanta, when Mark Wohlers gave up Jim Leyrtiz's homer. I get angry just thinking about it.
Not to get off topic. Back to the Dodgers.. Congrats to them.

However, I will be rooting against the Dodgers in the NLCS. I'm bummed that they beat my Braves and usually I root for the team that beats us, but I'm really rooting for the Pirates now.

Congrats to all "us" Dodger fans!!! And THANK YOU Juan Uribe, for bailing out another poor performance by Ronald Be-LOSE-ario!!! I always cringe when he or Brandon League enter a close game!!! (at least League isn't on the playoff roster) It's great to have a postseason veteran, like Uribe, on the roster!!!
So it's on to the NLCS vs. the Cards!!! Should be a good series, with great pitching!!! The Dodgers may have a slight advantage...with rest and a pitching rotation set up just the way they'd like. And they don't have to face Wainwright, until game 3 or 4!! But the Cards other pitchers have stepped up, for the most part. Looking forward to an outstanding series!!!

I have to agree that Brandon League not being on the postseason roster is a plus.
Not that I have anything against the man personally, but he has been, as the cliche goes, pouring gasoline on the fire all season.
