Cool Names For Pets

I've actually discussed with more than one friend over the course of the last couple of weeks some of the coolest names for our pets.
My pets are named as such:

Spacecataz: Calico Kitty of Doom

Oedipus: Mutt puppy with an unhealthy love for me.

Skeletor: Blue grey parakeet, he doesn't do much but he hates everyone.

Optimus Prime: Used to be my stud/show betta-- gorgeous D.R. crowntail finnage, mustard gas pattern. If a fish could truly be cool, he did it.

What other cool pet names are out there?

my one year old alaskan malamute is named "Xander" , he is pretty cool even if i do say so myself 😎

hmm i like male names for female pets..my last cat i named stevie for stevie ray vaughn

my pet now is chelsea.. not that cool but has sentimental reasons..

and my poor first cat i named tigger lolol...she was a white fluff ball..so beautiful but hated people..and only tolerated myself

I had a cat called Tabby or not Tabby that is the question lol. I loved her but she got old and died.

I have a budgie called Apples now. My daughter named him Apples because he's green 🙂

Bruno is the name of my St. Bernard Cross that graces my home now.

Scully - a Bassett Hound that was shot by a son-of-a-bitch that I had for a neighbor.

Goliath - another St. Bernard Cross... went into the woods and never returned.

Zeus - a Great Pyranees Cross... same fate as above

Roscoe - Shar-pei/Chow... same fate as above

Thor - a Doberman cross... died of old age

Sinbad - a red Siberian Husky - hit by a truck

Nicodemus - a long haired grey and white Hemmingway cat - again... into the woods never to return

Scrapper - a short haired grey and black tabby cat... same fate as above

Apollo - a long haired orange and white... same fate as above

Gypsy - long-haired tortoiseshell cat... same fate as above

Shadow - short haired black cat... same fate as above

Darth Vader - short haired black cat... same fate as above

Minus (Scrapper's brother) - a short haired grey and black tabby cat... same fate as above

Note:Up here with all the coyotes, hawks, eagles and owls among other critters... you really don't wanna get too attached to your cats.

I miss my best friend who passed away named Queeny, she was a german shep, If you even looked at me the wrong way she would growl..

Man, that really sucks about all those poor kitties... then again i can relate. I had coyotes too where i grew up, but the raccoons were the ones that terrorized my pet chickens.. oh poor Senor Peckerhead fought valiantly.

A few years ago, I had a neighbor who called his Dachshund "Mr. Dog" ("Herr Hund" in German). He even used the polite German address "Sie" when talking to him. However, Mr. Dog was quite stubborn (as many Dachshunds are), and it was a lot of fun listening to my neighbor arguing with Mr. Dog... 😀

Back in Brooklyn NY...

My nieghbor Mike, across the street, raised Neapolitan Mastiffs; them thangz iz HUGE an' scarey! He had 4 mated pairs.
The males were named Mauler, Maimer, Mangler and Mutilator.
The girls were called Desolation, Devastation, Desecration, and Destruction.
I think Mike may have been a little bit hostile.

Cinque (Sin-kay)..Meyers parrot and my hand fed baby
Charley....Mexican redhead who was abandoned and the best thing I ever adopted. She is a lap cat with wings
Zook....Quaker parrot and the best talker of the bunch

You know Cinque (pronounced "cheen-quay) is the Italian word for "four"

She is the only old world parrot that owns me, Mairead. I named her after a character from the movie Amistadt and the name was pronounced ..Sin-Kay. Forgot what it means.

I've come across a few interesting names for pets in my life, and even named one an unusual name.
My dog that I had for ten years, a female Golden, was named "Zelda". I named her when we got her. I was 9 years old, and she was a two month old pup. On the way home from picking her up, my parents were like:"So, what do you want to name her?", and the name "Zelda" just popped into my head. Except for the famous Zelda Fitzgerald, and a friend of my aunt's, whom she didnt even know when I got my dog, I had never heard that name before.
My best friend had a dog named "Niko". I thought that was unusual. He also had one named Saki.
One time my father had a client who had an Alaskan Malamute, and she named the dog "Knockcha". I dont know if I spelled that right, but that was his name.
Those are some unusual pet names I've encountered in my life.

There was a neighbor's dog called Star but I called him Macabee Wups , also had a cat I called Jagwalleter and a neighbor's cat I called Blackey , that cat would walk around with me , acted more like a dog that a cat , good companion . If I may say female dogs to me have shown the most loving loyalty of any animal I've ever known .

4 in Italian is Cattro
Cinque, yes it's pronounced chinkway, is 5 in Portuguese,Spanish and Italian, but not French, which is also a Romance language. In French 5 is cinc, pronounced sank.

Growing up I had a huge Blue Merle Collie named Blue Boy.

The coolest pet names I know of were both dogs who belonged to two different women friends of mine;
A Samoyed named Pushkin, after the Russian poet,
and a Japanese Chin named Berekiah, which is Hebrew for blessing.
