This isn't to be confused with other types of cutting, such as the kind edgeplayers enjoy, or the ritualistic scarification that people from other cultures (parts of Africa for instance) perform on themselves and others as part of their religion and/or lifestyle.

I couldn't agree more. Self injury is just as crazy and dangerous as mutual consenting injury. There are better and far more healthy ways to deal with whatever emotional issues that lead one to seek out such physical abuse.steph said:Either way, my two cents is alone or partner, this is risky stuff.
