Even against Omega weapons?
Realistically, Darkseid, assuming Doomsday is still a mindless hulking beast. Why? Well, Darkseid is smart, and has advanced technology at his command. People tend to think beating somebody is nothing more then a physically stomping the other person down. For example, Darkseid could win by boom-tubing Doomsday to a barren rock on the edge of the universe, or into a black hole.
Doomsday beat the shit out of Darkseid and almost killed him. Superman had to use some borrowed technology called a Motherbox to heal him so he could get him back in the fight. But yeah, Darkseid hit him with his Omega beams full blast both barrels and all it did was push him like a rocket and piss him off.
At the time, I didn't know who Darksied was or why it seemed like such a big deal, but now I can totally appreciate it, but still feel a bit disappointed considering that these were the 2 physically toughest beings in the DC Universe and the fight only lasted a few pages.
