Daydream believer.....

I don't know about all of you out there in tickleland, but I happen to have a VERY overactive imagination! There are nights that I can't shut down the 'tickle mode' portion of my brain so that I can fall asleep, and that usually means a long, sleepless night for me. It has it's up sides, I tend to come up with some good fodder for my fictional tickle stories. But generally, I find that it can be more of a nuisance than a blessing.
I also find that it gets worse when there is something happening in my life, or something that is about to happen where tickling might play a part. Then my brain plays over all the possibilities...and I do mean ALL! For example, I'm going to see a foot doctor in a couple of days. I've never seen one before, and I have no idea what the general 'examination' practices are, but boy am I having a lot of fantasies about it! And I completely blame all of you guys out there that have written tickle stories that involved podiatrists!! lol.
The logical side of my brain tells me that it will be completely professional, but in the back of my sick, twisted, little imagination I play out all of these tickle scenes with this doctor that I haven't even MET yet!!

I feel like I need some SERIOUS help!!!

Dear Home Coming Queen,

I have absolutely no words of advice or wisdom… but if it helps at all… I am the exact same way! 🙂 there’s no rationalizing it. I have been putting off going to the doctor, about hurting my foot while running through the airport in heels, for just those reasons.

good luck! I’d love to hear how it goes. I’m sure it will be just an ordinary doctor’s visit… but it would be kind of reasuring to hear just that. lol nice to know I’m not the only one. 🙂

It's completely sane. The imagination is just for that -- to provide entertainment to fill the void of our completely boring lives. 🙂

Enjoy it. It's great that you have an obsession you are so passionate about -- and it's legal too.

So embrace it, enjoy it and live it up. It would be unfair to do anything else. 🙂

I used to have this issue a lot as a younger guy but now a day's I don't fantasize as much...I wonder if the internet has anything to do with that...the fact that I can just click and there is a tickling fix...

HOWEVER, if a gathering or like Daisy says I am going to meet someone for ticklish fun...there is little chance of me getting any sleep the night or week before LOL..

I will think about what is in my tickle bag, think of toys that might enhance my tickle bag, think about getting a bigger tickle bag, it is amazing when that tickle mode turns on you have such a fixed train of thought...

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it! It was just something that had been playing around in my head lately, and I was wondering how much time most of the TMFers out there spent having tickle daydreams. I find that most of the time it goes in waves. I could go a week or so and not have more than a passing thought about tickling, and then when the wave hits, it's all I seem to be able to think about. I think I like being somewhere in the middle.

As for me posting again (which, honestly I was surprised to have anyone notice my absence! lol), I take that in waves too. I don't consider myself a 'lurker', but I certainly don't post as often as I used to either. Most of the time I read posts and don't find that I either have anything to add to what has already been said, or that the topic being discussed intrigues me enough to spend the time posting. Does that sound snobbish? I don't mean it that way. It's just that I've been with the TMF for years, and when I see something new I'll generally chime in, but when it's a topic that has been beat to death, or it's something that I've written about before, I'll opt out.
