Don't people in this thread understand that they can't prove that MJ was a paedophile? Yes, we cannot dissprove it either, but as I sit here watching trailer trash "Cops" with an American voiceover saying, "All suspects are innocent until proven guilty", I get a feeling that that kind of human right has been thrown completely out the window here.

Just because MJ was a Pop Icon and he was in the Public Eye, doesn't make him more deserving of persecution and false accusations.

This isn't a thread about us knowing for sure that MJ did it, and it's not a thread about knowing for sure that MJ didn't do it. It's a thread about fans putting in a good word for a guy that in our eyes, deserve the respect given to the 'King of Pop', and not the kind of dissrespect given to a guilty as charged, run of the mill paedophile.


So, in saying that, all I'm trying to say now is that until he has been proven guilty, I just believe the right thing to do is to treat MJ with the respect he deserves.

Ummm this was a thread bout a fan trying to debunk some "myths" even though they did a horrible job. You have been the only person trying to get everyone that doesnt show respect, to show respect for some reason or another and to be honest just because he was good at something and famous doesnt mean he should have my respect. If nething I agree he IS the King of Pop and no one will take that title away from him, I am a fan of MJ and always will b.

Now xionking u tried to bring up good points but i gotta say from wat i read u have been calling each person out who shows some sign of "disrespect" and pretty much been trying to push ur beliefs into their heads. and besides how would u feel if he was proven guilty of being a pedophile? would u be showing the same respect as you are now and still tryin to tell people they should change their ways and respect someone they feel they shouldnt respect?

I have pretty much read the entire thread and I gotta say a lot of ppl brought up some dang good points lol i dont know if he is or isnt a pedophile, but i could care less seeing as he passed away and all.

You know, it is pretty bad people want to see this thread locked and want the OP to "move on". Why? I see countless bullshit threads on this forum and they don't get locked....Believe me, there are some real stupid threads that I see on this forum, yet, they have a right to continue. So should this topic if need be.

I find it absolutely hilarious that people think Michael is a pedophile. Why? Because he slept in the bed with some kids? Knowing that Michael acted like a kid himself, him sleeping in the same bed actually makes sense. I think we adults have really fucked up mentalities to AUTOMATICALLY assume sex was going on if an adult and kid sleep in the same bed. Like Michael Jackson said himself, "When people hear two people sleep in the same bed, they assume sex." MJ realized what he was being accused of, yet, society still wants to keep their warped mentality and assume sex automatically happens.

There are posters who think the OP should not try to give her opinion on a guy who is no longer with us. There are posters who absolutely have no proof at all Michael was a pedophile, yet flap their gums on how they are right, yet, someone gives a differing opinion, and that person needs to get over it? C'mon folks, this is in the General Discussion forum, which means a discussion can happen. Keep in mind, there are countless threads that do the same thing.

Michael did nothing sexual with those children. The only thing people have as their proof he did is "he admitted he slept with children". People sleep in the same beds as pets, does that mean they are having sex with pets? "Oh, that's different..." people will say, but all Michael did was SLEEP with the kids, not have SEX with them.

As for the payoff, like Iggy said, innocent people do settle out of court to avoid having to go through a long legal process. Can you imagine having to live under the burden of preparing to get your name dragged through the mud for a long length of time a trial can take? It is one of the most stressful things a person can endure, especially if you are innocent.

And really folks, a payoff doesn't work in Criminal cases. The DA can still bring charges EVEN if you do not want to press charges against a person. Why do people overlook that? The DA had no proof Michael molested kids....

Also, if i'm not mistaken, "blanket" was originally that kids name. They later changed it because.......well......it was "blanket".

The other thing that struck me odd about this thread was, I remember in an interview around 2004, when the dangling happened, they asked him why would he do that. He said that the media thought he was crazy, so he was just having fun playing that role up. He didn't expect people to take him seriously with it.

Which kinda makes sense.........I remember doing that when I was 10...........

Like I said in my original reply to this thread: Even if there was no sex involved it is pretty fucked up to sleep in the same bed as somebody elses children. Children who, I might add, you don't even know very well!

I am pretty indifferent to MJ in general, and whether or not he was a pedo really won't change my opinion on him that much. He was still a tragic person with a lot of problems, no matter how great his music was.

Sleeping with your pet IS different though. Even if you can "predict" that reply that doesn't make it any less true. Aside from being of an entirely different species, a pet is at the very least still part of your family unlike some stranger's kid. That said, sex with animals is actually legal over here for some inconceivable reason :eeew:, so I guess that would make it not immoral or something like that... 😛 *humps snoopy* :snoopy:

But Goodie, what was the circumstances surrounding the time he had a slumber party? Did he call some random parents and say "Hey, can I sleep with your kids?" No, these are kids he already had a relationship with, so a slumber party is not out of the ordinary in HIS circumstance.

Would I sleep with random kids? Not necessarily, but if I ever did need to sleep in the same bed with a kid, bet your bottom dollar nothing sexual would happen. But why do people automatically assume sex occurs? Don't you think that is a warped mentality?
