Very true, vegans do not drink milk.
That causes me to wonder what exactly strict vegans do feed their newborn babies.
 
If corn oil is made from corn, what is baby oil made from? :idunno:
 
If "indecisive" means "not decisive," and "indecent" means "not decent," and "indivisible" means "not divisible..." Then why the hell do "ingenious" and "invaluable" mean, respectively, "very genius" and "very valuable?" Did English prefixes forget how to do their job for a minute there...?

They are Maxwell's equations giving the basic laws of electricity and magnetism.
1. Gauss's Law for Electricity: The electric field leaving a volume is proportional to the charge inside.
2. Gauss's Law for Magnetism: The total magnetic flux through a closed surface is zero (and therefore no magnetic monopole can exist).
3. Faraday's Law of Induction: The voltage accumulated around a closed circuit is proportional to the time rate of change of the magnetic flux it encloses.
4. Ampere-Maxwell Law of Circuits: Electric currents and changes in electric fields are proportional to the magnetic fields circulating about the areas where they accumulate.

Why is it that the words for "mom" and "dad" are practically the same in every single language, even the ones that have different roots? Like, even the Mandarin word for mom is "ma" (with some inflection or other), and Mandarin is like, utterly different from any of the Latin-based languages, so what the fuck? XD
 
Gym memberships here always go up in January because the most common resolution for the new year is to get into better physical shape. 😱
 
Why do bacteria get such a bad rap? Most bacteria have no affect on humans or are actually beneficial, even essential for survival. Only a small percentage are actually harmful. The few bad ones give the rest a bad name!
 
Why aren't beds made out of cushions like couches? I don't know about you guys, but my mattress is nowhere near as comfortable as my couch.

Why are babies entertained by peekaboo? Like, they have no object permanence, so they think that anything that disappears from their view no longer exists. When you're playing peekaboo, you're essentially blinking in and out of existence itself to them. Like, vanishing from this universe and then returning, over and over. And their response to this is to... laugh...? e_O

Similarly, why are dogs and cats down with being pet? Like, if a gigantic creature that was far more physically and mentally advanced than me, speaking some alien language I didn't understand, started giving me a massage, I'd be freaking the hell out... XD
