I don't want to get off on a rant here, but I think some people should consider their views and comments about this video and the girl in it, a TMF regular.

I think it's great Narin decided to do a video, but damn, if I was her, and I saw some of the comments that were being made about it/her, I would think twice about coming back here (at least identifiably, anyhow). I can only predict that she'll be "mobbed" from now on if she shows up in the chat room, and I doubt if I was her I'd want to put up with a bunch of lewd comments from guys that are simply objectifying her.

Most people bitch about the same thing with pornography - how it makes people objectify women - and the same can be said for the women in any tickling video. When all you see is someone whose pants you'd do anything to get into, or in our case, tickle nonstop, then your sense of perspective is way off base.

I'd be a liar to say I haven't done it myself, both with porn and tk vids, but Narin is a somewhat different case, since she happens to be a TMF'er like the rest of us. Maybe some of you haven't ever spoken to her, but if you had, I think you'd find that her common interest with the rest of us is only one of her many interesting character traits. I've only spoken with her once (and hell, I doubt she'd remember it) but I found her intelligent, opinionated, intriguing, and pretty damn funny. I'm sure those that talk with her more can say more about that - I know Dave2112 and Marauder talk to her more regularly, and she's supposedly a regular in that chat room (I think her box is hilarious, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, maybe you should find out).

All I'm saying is maybe you should get to know her, and also watch what you say/do, because to drive someone like her away would be a loss to our community.

That's just my opinion; I could be wrong.

. . . but that doesn't necessarily mean that the attention is good. In fact, the type of attention, as I noted above, might not be welcomed by her. Especially if most of the attention comes from people that incessantly bother her about this one video. Sooner or later you jsut get tired of dealing with the same old shit.

That's also only my opinion, and I could still be wrong.

Also, I just read that thread and I didn't see anything out of line in terms of the comments. I was expecting some real doozies! It seems that people were just expressing joy and excitement that Jeff had made a video with this person (since I have absolutely no idea who she is, I guess I'll have to wait for the announcement, pics and--perhaps--clip to find out).

Of course, if history is any guide, there will be about 50 posts about how great it is that Jeff has made this video and, within about 2 weeks, Jeff will post on the TMF that he hasn't sold any copies of it!

I don't really understand the point here either. What exactly did you see that you thought was negative? I've been following that thread pretty closely of course and I haven't seen anything that even made me think twice. Except biscuit and his height obsession.

Dennis Miller always does his "rant" with the same opening and closing line that I used (that's the only connection, really, since I wasn't attempting to be humorous with it).

And maybe I'm referring to the wrong post - there's comments about this vid in other threads too. And I'm not so much concerned with what has been said but with what might be said (and done). I just hope people realize that they shouldn't treat this vid like any other, simply because it is quite possible (and easy) to get to know Narin and, since he is a TMF'er, should not simply be the object that others' see only with respect to this one character trait. It would be like someone else obsessing about how hot your sister (if you have one) is and how much they want to bang her. YOu wouldn't look at her that way - you'd see her for all she is. I guess my objection to some types of comments lies along those lines - I wouldn't like to think that people here would simply objectify her this way when she comes here and caould see such things and might not like it. In other words, they shouldn't see her simply as another girl in a tickle vid, because she's one of us, she's friendly, she's here, and she's more than just another ticklee.

I guess it's a general objection about a state of mind rather than anything specific. A somewhat difficult concept to express, but that's my two cents on the subject. And of course, you may disagree, and she may prove me wrong too. Who knows?

I was actually thinking *exactly* the same thing after the onslaught of posts after the "teaser" photo for the MTP video. That's not to say the video isn't going to be great (I'm sure it is) or that I even want to see it, but if I was Narin (and I most definitely am NOT), being in a video that is going to be rewound and analyzed over and over again I would definitely think twice before doing it. I guess I'm a little paranoid like that. I am personally grateful that she agreed to do the video, but part of me is kind of curious as to...why? BTW, your style was perfectly Miller-esque. I couldn't even tell the difference!

I see the different viewpoints here and agree with aspects of all. I was wondering if Narin herself might comment and validate one side or another. After all, she would know best how she feels.

I too was hoping she might comment on the situation - since she is a member here, idle speculation is rather a waste of time if one can get the facts straight from the source. However, having read some other posts/comments about this new vid in other threads, I think perhaps that she doesn't have a problem with the way things stand now. Of course, I would feel better if she said so, and if the comments stayed tame, since as I said above, it would be a loss to our community to lose her.
