I honestly couldn't believe they were still making new seasons of Digimon when I heard about this show, but I guess it can't be too bad next to Pokemon.

I watched a few episodes, and I wish we'd see Lilithmon tickled. It seems rare to get a hot female villain in this series.

to be fare, Pokemon isn't a BAD franchise. the games are still addicting as ever to play (even tho Nintendo's starting to go overboard with their promotion-only pokemon). it's the anime that's gone downhill, because it just doesn't go ANYWHERE. However, the silver lining in pokemon storytelling lies not in the anime, but in a manga called Pokemon Adventures (or Pokemon Special in japan), which adheres closely to the games, has a plot that actually GOES places, can be quite dark, even violent (example: scene of an arbok being sliced in half 😵), and the action actually feels more like the Digimon anime than the Pokemon anime EVER did. Plus, the Pokemon series creator said of this manga "this is the comic that most resembles the world i was trying to convey." I'd say check it out sometime.

But back to Digimon, i hope this new series gets dubbed soon, even if it IS edited. It wouldn't seem right for 5 series to get the treatment, and this one to just get ignored. It's a good franchise that has lots of kool ideas, and creative possibilities.
