What digital camera does everybody own here?

The reason i'm asking. Is because i am thinking about purchasing a digital camera for myself and also for my parents some what. In a few weeks time here. My parents and i had a digital camera i think it was last christmas we bought it as a family gift for all of us. But then we took them both back my parents did to get a refund on both of them at the place we bough them both at. For what reason? still to this day i do not know. So we really didn't get to use them that much or try them out really since we took both the cameras back with in like 2 weeks.

I'm just wanting a camera that is real easy and simple to use and looks nice. And with in the range of $300-$400 Dollars. Since i do have the money for a pretty nice one to spend on.

Any suggestions?

Go with Nikon or Canon IMHO. I own one of each. They work very well, I have taken over 10000 pictures with my Canon and it works beautifully still. The nikon is newer but is a great, great camera. However the nikon is a bit more difficult to use though. If you intend to crop your images a lot or intend to make large prints then go with more megapixels like 5 or 6, otherwise for average use 3-4 should be fine. 😀

Do you have a picture of the canon or nikon cameras that you own Kurchatovium?

I have a Canon Powershot A80 and a Nikon Coolpix 8700 the latter is very expensive so maybe stick with the pwershot series they are pretty good I think.
