Like how we wonder if Blaa Blah is ticklish or likes to tickle and stuff, do other fetishes (maybe ones that have message boards like TMF) wonder about them as well?
Well, something fairly unique about tickling is that alot of fetishists are interested to know merely if/where a celeb is ticklish, and that alone is exciting.
Any celebrity has the capability to receive anal, be spanked, get pee'd on, etc. Simply being ticklish is a rare one in which we don't know if the person in question is even susceptible.
And I think that is a big reason why tickling fetishists fantasize so much, probably moreso than others. That mystery element.
Also, one thing I've found about my love for tickling is that it really seems to bring people to an equal level. At my first gathering I was intimidated by people, because they were older, well-known, whatever. Seeing them held down and turned into a giggling disaster really made them less imposing. And that might be one of the reasons I have this fetish. Yea, that hottest girl in school or amazing celebrity may take on a near divine quality in your mind, but if you were to see them tickled (provided they are ticklish), they seem kinda sorta just like us...
I think your reasoning is a bit circular. Ticklishness will only be seen as humanizing and endearing if you give a rats ass about it, like we do. That's not an inherent quality of ticklishness, its a significance we give to it.
Some big shot celebrity may be seen as unattainable, but then you can see them tied down and helpless. A bondage fetishist might consider that as humanizing and accessible as you do tickling.
As for ticklishness as unique because not everyone has the capacity to be ticklish, but everyone does have the capacity for anal sex, say, I still don't agree. I'm sure there are lots of equivalents across the board. What if somebody has a fetish for tattoos? Body scars? Bad breath? These are things that don't necessarily apply to everyone. They'd wonder and hope Jessica Alba has hidden tattoos, scars, or terrible breath the same way we wonder if she's ticklish.
Re: bondage, yes that is true, but the difference as I see it is that any celebrity can be tied down, whereas they might not be susceptible to tickling.
Absolutely. -- It's common to lust after a celebrity and in most sexual fantasies that kinked folks have of celebs, I'm sure their own particular kink is very much center stage.
Right, but they might not have body scars, they might not have bad breath, they might not have sensitive nipples. Ticklishness is not the only fetishized quality that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. So I don't think ticklephiles fantasize about celebs more than anyone else simply because it's a "maybe" factor. There are lots of other "maybe" factors.
I suppose so. I would need to get out of my tickle-brain and into a body-scar brain to see if knowing a celebrity does not have body scars diminishes my ability to fantasize as knowing she is completely unticklish...
If there was legit confirmation that (insert celeb) was extremely ticklish on her feet, I think that would greatly increase the amount of fantasizing about it. Likewise, if there was confirmation that she was not remotely ticklish on her stomach, it could diminish or ruin fantasies about tickling her stomach.
This can't be said for bondage. Any celebrity can be tied down. They may not like it (and that might improve peoples' fantasies), but they can.
Confirmation that Jessica Alba doesn't have bad breath might ruin fantasies for those folks, but I don't find that legitimately comparable.
Debatable. Good points, but what about the confirmation only fueling more fantasies because there is now a desire for the unattainable. Many folks might see Celeb X as a "confirmed non-ticklish" person, but still feel that they can find a ticklish spot on them, thus further causing fantasies to happen?
Sometimes I think that knowing something is one way and only one way, naturally convinces those determined enough to believe that they can make it another way. Ticklish-ness absolutely counting in this case.
Yea, that is an interesting perspective. For me personally, real confirmation of non-ticklishness - say, they are on a talk show, for whatever reason the host tries to tickle them, said tickler does not appear incompetent, and no reaction whatsoever - would hurt my fantasies. I would be curious as to the split between people whose fantasies would be hurt, improved, or unchanged, by "confirmation"
Oddly, I don't really fantasize about celebrities. They as a whole are completely un-realistic for me, so it kills the fantasy appeal all the way around. Although I do lust after some, but never with the kink involved. S'weird.
