Do people not involved with tickling fetishes know they exist??

Now what I mean is, is the average person aware of what a tickling feitsh is? By average person I mean;
1) Someone who hasn't got a fetish for tickling, as obviously they would know what a tickling fetish is if they had one.
2) Someone who has not only not got one themselves, but has not been told by someone that that person has a tickling fetish. And someone who is not married or dating someone with one and is constantly been tickled by that person.

So basically what I mean is do people who have no involvement in tickling know that a tickling fetish exists. So say I was constantly tickling a girl who was in this position, would she be likely to say 'Have you got a tickling fetish??' Or would she just find it odd that I was tickling her? Get back to me, Cheers. Joe

Well she might say it just as a comment on the intensity. Just like a if you chatted about cars she might say "do you have a car fetish?" From my knowledge of knowing people that aren't into that..no they have no idea it exists unless they are exposed to it through someone else.

I would imagine people who aren't involved in our tickling fetish are not aware that it exists. For all I know, there are people who are into being clobbered with porkchops, but I would have no way of knowing it unless I somehow ended up in said situation. "So you really like pork, huh..."

I'd tend to agree with the people who've already replied. This is one of those things that you have to know about beforehand in order to understand. Otherwise, its more of a "really? no way." kind of reaction.

thatd be an interesting survey to do out on the streets of a major city...poll 100 people, and ask if they've heard of it. If I didnt live in the boondocks, I'd do it.

I've talked to a ton of people who were completely unaware of tickling as a fetish. After talking about it they did understand that it could be very erotic, etc. but they certainly had no idea about it before our little discussion, lol. And I would say a great many of them don't understand it from the perspective of just enjoying the tickling without any sexual things taking place.

I too was not "aware" of it. I was pretty much a late bloomer so to speak and was not aware of my little fetish until maybe three years ago. Looking back into my childhood though I believe it was always there but it certainly never occurred to me until I watched Mr. Howard Stern. Then the whistles screamed, the horn blew, it was just a plain riot, lol. And you could say from that point in I've just kind of jumped feet in first and damn glad I did.

I think most people are unaware of it. You rarely if ever see it in television and in movies. Personally I think that's a good thing. The less the world sees tickling in the same light as bondage, whips, and chains, the more we'll be able to see and do it in the open. "Hey, it's just tickling. Come on." 😉

i met a few that didn't know it existed......one girl was completley taken back to know that tickling was the primary source of my arousal.....she accepted it but never wanted anything to do with tickling...really sensative.

then there's the girls i meet that take it willingly, but just treat it as some phase they expect you to grow out of soon......or laugh at the fact that you have it.

I have yet to meet a girl around me that is truly into tickling

I think it depends on the person. You can split people into two categories:

1. People who know that there's a 'fetish' for pretty much everything these days.
2. People who don't.

Someone in the first category wouldn't be surprised. I'm in that category myself. For instance, someone might have a... I don't know... Fluffy sock fetish. I don't have that fetish, nor have I ever heard of it (actually, I might have...), but it doesn't surprise me in the least. Fetishes don't even have to make sense, and by that I mean some fetishes are very difficult to explain to a person who doesn't share the fetish.

I think that most people wouldn't think about it unless they ran across the subject somehow. ((Like me. ^_^))
Some people, I guess, never thought of it and don't like it. But whatever. Different strokes for different folks, whatever turns you on, I guess. >w<

Back in the day, i dint know that it was a fetish. untill i looked it up on the internet then i learn what a fetish was and so on.

Pervert is such a strong word. Despite what the media seems to portray, there's nothing wrong with being in touch with your sexual side. It's natural.

I hope so... And I agree it is a strong word. I'm sexually liberated. 😛 Hehe!

I don’t think that very many people know that tickling can be a fetish.

Part of me is glad that it’s not common knowledge, because the innocent fun in it can be thrilling, in a completely non-sexual way, and I would hate for everyone to have to ‘wonder’ every time some affectionate goofing around ended up some tickles.

But on the other hand, if it were common knowledge, a lot of stuff would have made a lot more sense to me, a lot earlier on.

I guess I kind of like it the way it is right now. If you put “tickling” into a search engine, odds are that you will find out. And… if you put “tickling” into a search engine in the first place, odds are that you might have a tickling fetish. 🙂

I know just what you mean. I like tickling in two ways; the innocent way and the erotic way. If you tell someone you have a tickling fetish, you probably have to explain this sort of thing to them, too, or they'll always wonder. I mean, does having a tickling fetish mean you can't playfully tickle your kids, because that would make you a pedophile? Some people may relate tickling so much to sex that they never could tickle a child, but others, like me, see different types of tickling.

bah you are not a pervert, People climing in trees with binoc's trying to see a girl getting undressed, thats a pervert

There is actually a fetish like that..called "Food Fetish." They don't actually clobber anyone with a porkchop but they have sex on a bed of food.
