Do the files in our attachment managers delete themselves after awhile?

Do the files in our attachment managers delete themselves after awhile?

I ask as it says in the attachment manager that uploaded files will delete themselves afterwards but it's been several months and none of my files have vanished from my attachments folder.

No they stay forever. The code is bugged and they never delete.
