Do you feel the state you live in affects your life (socially, affordability,etc)?

Absolutely! I live in California and everything here is EXPENSIVE. Property, vehicles, tax, gas prices, etc.. You name it and it'll be more expensive here. The high prices we pay are pretty much the cost for our nice weather.
