Figured I'd start this thread to see how my fellow TMF brothers and sisters enjoy a good work-out. Now yes, I can see the answers "sex", "tickling", or "12 ounce curls" popping up here, amongst others. Actually, I'd probably LOL if they did... and I too enjoy all of said workouts. 😉 Joking aside, do we have a regular workout routine?

I'll be the first to admit that I can be lazy when it comes to staying in shape. Still, I do try to get motivated in terms of cardio work. I try to do this at least every other day for various amounts of time. I prefer the exercise bike or long walks just to get the blood flowing. How about you guys?

Yes.

Don't eat a lot.

Chase around my son.

Treadmill.

Yeah, that's about it.

At least 35 minutes of brisk walking (4mph) in Central Park three times a week. 😀

Yoga and I sometimes walk home from work (about 3 miles).

I used to walk every day but yeah.

I'm fucking lazy.

My job requires a lot of walking, bending and stretching as well as some moderately heavy lifting,so i don't do anything outside of that.I've lost quite a bit of weight lately,it must be working.😀

i bike just about everyday i like it its fun to do and a good workout

oh hell yes im in the gym 4 to 5 days to use weights cardio 2 times a day * for now *

my workout breaks down like this

Cardio 40 minutes in the morning on an empty stomach every day

then cardio at night 30 minutes every day
i do four to five days of weights

for weights

Day 1 - Chest/Triceps

Day 2 - Back/Biceps

Day 3 - Legs

Day 4 - is just an off day from weights but i do cardio

Day 5 - Delts/Traps/abs

Day 6 - Triceps/Forearms/Biceps

Day 7 - rest

i stick mainly with free weight compound movements going as heavy as i can for 12 to 6 reps

I weight train twice a week and practice judo 1-2 times per week.I used to powerlift at a high level but injuries forced me to change my routine and I am happy doing the little I do. 🙂

I do an hour long total body yoga routine a 2-3 times per week. Great exercise for the body and mind, definitely recommended. Bike, running, or some other cardio a 2-3 times a week. Strength training 3 times per week. Really made a huge difference in my quality of life.

I run or walk on my treadmill for about 3 miles a day at varying speeds and degrees of going uphill.

Occasionally I will do some sit-ups or crunches.

Rob

I mow the lawn and haul a big ass bass amplifier around every now and then. Walking is great exercise too, if ya like scenery and thinking time.

Other than that, I usually keep my girlish figure by drinking obscene amounts of water and forgetting to eat food.

Well I walk all over my town because I don't drive so I walk to the bus stop and various different stores.

I work in a shoe store so I am constantly doing balancing acts with shoe boxes and stretching to get shoes of the tipy top of the stack. Plus I do shipping which is a lot of lifting and bending and stuff.

I have also recently cut soda, french fries, and cinnamon melts out of my life. (As hard as that is).

Basically just trying to stay in shape without putting forth too much effort lol.

And btw tickling is a great workout for the abs.

Currently on the 4-6 days a week stint depending whether I can be bothered or not. I tend to run and do bodyweight cardio circuits in the morning, and I skip too, but only before 7a.m (because I have to do it on the lawn outside, and after 7a.m people start waking up and they might see me skipping). The afternoons I'll either go down to the gym, do a bit of rowing, a weight circuit or two and 20 minutes of swimming, or if there's something on I'll go to that instead. Unfortunately a few of the martial arts clubs have just closed down so my options are rugby and boxing at the moment, although there's a judo club I might pop along to if I feel like boring myself to death and ruining a shirt or two.

For me, I've been rather slack in the last year to two years I used to bike ride 3-4 times a week going for miles on each occasion.

Now, I'm going jogging/running 3 times a week and I go to a dance class once a week for a couple of hours. If I find the time I may even start up with my free weights again for the upper body.

I would like to do more long walks but the weather over here hasn't been that great, but hopefully that'll change (fingers crossed) and I can get my arse out there and use my new walking boots in preparation for a week in the Lake District woot!

Processed sugar is the devil. Good for you for cutting out the soda. =)

I try to avoid anything with a lot of sugar. I tend to drink a lot of pure fruit juice, without the devil known as "high fructose corn syrup". I mean, it's fruit! It doesn't need sugar! Another simply evil beverage is beer. Ton of calories in every bottle, though I admit to enjoying the occasional drunken night out. 😀

I do cardio (either the bike or running) four times a week. Currently, I lift weights two days a week, as I'm just lifting to maintain the muscle I've currently got (my main goal at the moment is getting my body fat percentage down from 13% to around 8%). If I was actively trying to build, I'd take it up to four days. And then I do crunches and push ups three nights a week.

My dieting philosophy is basically viewing food as fuel and sticking to health food about 90% of the time. My dinner pretty much every night is chicken or some kind of fish, with brown rice and spinach sauteed in olive oil and garlic, I usually make enough whatever the main dish is to have another later in the night. So, when I go out, I feel free to indulge in alcohol or post-bar cheeseburgers/Thai food/those hideously great bacon wrapped hot dogs that only seem to exist outside of clubs in Hollywood around 2am.

Awww thanks... It was Viper's suggestion and I have been successful for a full week... and for me that is quite an accomplishment! I usually drink at least 3 sodas a day and now I am drinking none.

As a track runner heading into college, I need to stay in shape, especially during the offseason, like right now. I tend to go for a 40min-1hour run each day. Usually covering 5-6miles. As for lifting, I have a small set at home to get in some basic lifting. I sometimes go to a local gym. Other than that I just try to keep active. I do a basketball camp with some friends during the summer. I'm working part-time at a nature preserve, so I get to hike. Eat right and drink lots of water. And for those like me, battling exercise induced asthema can be a pain in the ass while doing all of this. I like to keep my six pack around and look good. lol. Staying fit and healthy is important for live a long and productive life. 🙂

I use weights alone for 40min.,then tag the speedball for 20min.I then turn to the heavybag and train(Jeet-Kune-Do/Ninjitsu techniques) focusing on striking power with my hands and feet for about 30min.After all of my training is complete I practice meditation to clear myself and rejuvinate from the workout. All together about 2 hours a day dedicated to training, everyday,no slacking allowed, lol. P.S. My tournament is in late September, please wish me luck.Try for my 4th trophy, woohoo. : )

I try to get 10 miles of cycling done per day.
Also try and do half an hour of capoeira practice. Not to mention all the unicycling and fire performance I practice.

I often fail at this, but I'm getting better.

My "workouts" are limited to lifting UPS packages going to Reno, Nevada; Sacramento, California; Rocklin, California; Stockton, California; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; ranging in weight between 1 lb. and 115 lbs. (max I can lift by myself), to people in those cities who decide they want to ship their boxes via an asshole corporation ran by teenagers.

Yeah. That's my 5 day, midnight to 4 a.m. workout. I hate my job.

That's actually the same job I am waiting for a position to open up in my area.

Twilight Shift.

Good Benefits.

Lucky. 🙂

If I'm not being biased, and thinking of how terrible they treat their employees: yeah, the benefits and pay are fantastic.

I don't know where you're from, but Louisville has the biggest UPS hub, and it's practically ran by teenagers and college students, so they also pay for 100% of the college tuition, and $65 dollars back per textbook. Not to mention the $500 dollar bonuses per semester if you get all C's or better. And if you only fail one class, you get $350. And that's not counting the .50 cent per year guaranteed raise, plus the incredible benefits.

Regardless of all of that, unless you're in a nice position, and not one of the worker bees, you get treated like shit, it's hot, sweaty, and the chance of breaking a bone (or getting a piece of your body permanently cut off) is always present. It's really a shit-tastic job.

However - I have triple time this Friday! 😀 And you're a tough girl, you'll do fine. Good luck, Miss Crystal.
