Do you work out?

Unfortunately, my health keeps me from doing regular workouts. But, I do try to use our treadmill and weights when I'm up to it. I used to be real good about it. I'd ride at least 5 miles a day, run at night and do light to moderate weight training. I hope to be able to do that again some day, though I'm not holding my breath.

Do you workout?

6 days a week: 1 hour and 10 minutes on the eliptical cross trainer at level 20 at 69-72rpm. I add an hour of weight lifting to my cardio regimen on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday for toning benefit. I've been on this routine for the past 6 years and I've never felt better. TC

I used to do 100 pushups and 100 situps each day, but since Jan I've been lifting 20lb dumbells: 60 curls, 30 behind the head lift, 20 butterflies, 30 military press. So far I've been loving the results from that. I also run 5 laps, weather permitting, and sprints. On weekends I box 10 round equivalents Fri-Sun.

Trust me it works, I put a hard top on my jeep on Sunday, 150lb top I lifted and carried on top of the jeep and I weigh under 140lbs!!!

working out

i have found the people who claim the biggest work outs do the least.

i used to go to the gym at least 5 times a week, somtimes all 7 days. i would do the tread mill for 4 miles (up hill). then every other day, i'd do the cybex circut, on the in-between days i'd do various abdominal machines.

saddly the gym has raised their fees much to high, so i stopped in march. i now swim about 3 times a week on average. problem is it's boring to do alone.
on another note i met tcarl, he is a BIG guy. tall, and very broad, and muscular. nice guy too.

I try to get to the gym at least 4 days a week (as time allows). On the weekly average, I do about 2 hours of cardio a week, plar racquetball 2-3 times and lift weights.

One upper body workout I find especially taxing is lifting dumbells over your head once and doing 1 push up. Then the next time you lift the dumbells twice over your head and do two pushups. Each set increased by one push up and dumbell rep. You continue till you reach 10. It doesn't sound hard but it's a killer. you don't reach the halfway point till you reach 7 push ups and 7 dumbell reps.

As they say, "no pain, no gain"

I work out on my bike around the neighborhood about 5 times a year. Lately, I have been giving my fingers a strenuous workout on the keyboard. E-mail and posting really is beneficial!

I'm back on a program I did a few years back...the Power 90 workout. I do it six days a week, about thirty five minutes a day.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday- Circuit training with dumbbells, lunges, squats, and pushups.
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday- Yoga, aerobics, and crunches.

The first time I did the program I lost 35 pounds and firmed up big time. I plan to do better this time🙂
