The closest thing to that, legally, would be the testing of the nerves in the legs in trauma patients to see if there is any movemnt feeling and or damage to the spine and nerves in the legs when either the nerve wheel and the dragging of the sole of the feet with other instrunments.
Otherwise, to purposely tickle a patient is against the code of ethics and could lead to some hefty lawsuits.

I have had done precisely what TTD just described.

I had suffered a small diabetic stroke 2 days before I gave birth to my daughter. My OB wanted to ensure I did not suffer any notable nerve damage from my stroke, so right before he induced my labor he did a series of reflex tests....one if which included dragging his pen along the sole of my foot twice to make sure it flexed in the right direction. Needless to say, he got quite a substantial reaction from me, and followed his 'foot reflex test' with the question, "You're not ticklish, are you?", and a big smile....LOL

Probably what you had Mimi. The doctor can tell a lot by stroking the sole of each foot. I looked it up in a medical journal years ago after undergoing treatment for a minor head injury. I wonder if that doctor realized how lucky he was!

Somewhere in the story section I posted about getting an ultrasound done to my leg (looking for a blood clot) and how the nurse pressed the probe right in my leg when it meets the pelvis bone...tickled like heck! Then at the very end she ran it along the center of my foot! Nearly kicked her into the next room! lol

Actually, my curiosity in tickling was first peaked when my doctor (who was female) and her assistant (also female) had to check my bowels for an obstruction when I was younger. The procedure consisted of a lot of probing around the abdomen. They could tell it was tickling me, but they had to continue, and besides, I was enjoying it. I have also had ultrasounds performed for some reason I can't recall, and that was like heaven too.
