The Dodgers are the 2013 NL West Champions!!!!!!!

That became certain this afternoon as the Dodgers beat the D'backs, 7-6, overcoming a 6-3 deficit.

Adding to my joy, the hated jints lost their 82nd game yesterday, guaranteeing them a losing season. 😛

An interesting note:

This is the earliest the Dodgers have clinched a postseason berth since the Brooklyn Dodgers clinched the National League title on September 8, 1955. That year, the Dodgers went on to defeat the Yankees 4-3 in the World Series.

I just hope that their offense can come back to life...in a more consistent manner!!! At least the pitching will be set up perfectly!!!
Now...overtake the Braves and/or Cards...while staying ahead of Pitt. and Cincy!!! Two big head-to-head series coming up for the Pirates and Reds!!! Would love to see them split...at the least!!! That central race is gonna be something...over the last week!!!

If every game were decided by the flip of a fair coin, then the Dodgers would have probability 1/8 = 12.5% of winning the World Series. With their top three starting pitchers, I put their probability much higher, about 25 to 30%. But baseball is the least predictable of the major sports, so we shall see.

Clinching the NL west? wow.. epic.. just like they did in 1995.. 2004.. 2008 and 2009.. all those NL West titles got them how many rings? Division titles are meaningless. Maybe they have learned from experience.

First off, leave it to classless fans of the turd blue to bring up murder and crime when the topic is baseball..

That said, the Giants have rings (notice that word is plural) in recent history. No one has to google their last championship or needs the internet, or be over the age of 30 to know the actual players involved.

As far as murder (or perhaps even worse having to live the rest of your life severely disabled and have someone do everything for you) goes, nothing compares to it happening on your own stadium grounds on the actual property of the team you cheer - an action which reflects the standards of your slug team and the park security and anyone associated with turd blue. That has yet to happen at AT&T Park. In fact, this crime occured four blocks from the park. If I go to McDonald's and eat lunch, then leave and go four blocks away and someone attacks me because of my comments, am I going to blame McDonalds? Get your facts straight before you start throwing misleading accusations. Then again, I would expect as much from turd blue.

I also take it turd blue fans have selective memory when it comes to Giants fan Mark Allen Antenocruz who was shot to death while in the turd blue stadium parking lot in 2003. No mention of that one huh? And it occurred a lot closer than four blocks away.
