Does anyone have an original way of phrasing "The Question" when they ask it?
Okay, here's an interesting debate. Have any of you ever asked someone "The question" and phrased in it a roundabout way to get an answer, instead of just asking:" Are you ticklish?" Before I joined this site, as I've posted, I used to ask letter female pen pals "The Question" and I got dozens of answers. However, due to the mail rules and the rampant sexual harrassment, I devised a way of asking and getting answers where it didnt look like I had a sex fetish and was more just curious. What I would do is get a new letter pen pal, wait a couple of letters to get to know her a bit, and then ask her "The Question" by mentioning how I had been tickled by family members, and asking if that had ever happened to her. Although a few took offense and didnt write back, for the most part, I was successful, and got many answers. In the TMF chat, I will ask the question in a more direct manner, but in letters, I feel it better to be a little roundabout. I havent asked as many letter pen pals if they are ticklish since I joined TMF. Although, ironically, Iam currently waiting to hear from two letter pen pals I recently asked. I would be interested to hear feedback and whether anyone has ever asked "The Question" in a place other than here, and how you went about it.
