oooo I love ICarly;it's a good show!
oooo i love icarly;it's a good show!
I actually watch ICarly sometimes...there I said it.
(don't get any icky ideas about me either!!!)
Hard thing to admit for one such as I, one steeped in horror movies and all that is frightening-
Wish I were half as creative and positive as the ICarly kids... it doesn't insult the intelligence...well not that I've seen.
It's not "cutesy" or ultra-saccharin like Full House (never been able to withstand EVEN A FEW SECONDS of that dread abomination)
Points absurdly at slaver123
Don't you ever insult Full House like that again!!!! For Full House beeth the shit!

why is this thread still alive...?

yeah.
DON'T DROP THE SOAP!
... unless prepubescent girls AND big beefy gay men are your thing.
I like fmilling's answer, and I'll tell you why: it pins the blame on the perverts who get off on underaged feet. Call me crazy, but I'm not entirely sure that Nickelodeon was trying to predict (or cause) how many people get off to feet of girls too young to make life-changing decisions. 😉

Thank you my purple loving friend!
I just wish I actually proof read what I wrote before I posted it for all to see! 😉
It may indeed pin in that direction...
My point was really to show that Nick as well as every other form of media does not make the sexual interests... the people who look at the media do, and it's not just for feet, but for everything.
Is it responsible for shaping sexual interests? My answer is maybe...it all depends on who the person is... 😉
I myself find that most things in any media can turn sour due to how many people in society can view said media... it's not any media's fault that people can find attraction in what it shows in it's shows...
Does Nickelodeon promote exposure of little kids to sexual offenders and molesters when ever they watch the channel?
If you're gonna ask if Nickelodeon promotes foot fetishism to anyone who could be attracted to it (other than us) whenever they watch the channel, you might as well ask the first question too...
and you also might want to ask if Nickelodeon promotes Trichophilia (hair fetishism) due to the prevalence of actors who have hair in the non-cartoon shows...
You may also ask if nickelodeon promotes Acousticophilia (Which is when a person gets off to sounds.) due to the prevalence of sounds throughout the whole channel.
The point I'm getting at is anything on any media, anywhere at anytime, can, will, and has been sexuallized by any and everybody, no matter the age... It's all subjective stuff that cannot be fully remedied by any method...
No matter how much feet are shown, there's no way of knowing that it is done purposefully by the channel... It's not like Nick can predict what the billions of people of the world are capable of getting off to!
However, if the whole network was mainly about showing feet then yes, that conclusion and the answer to the question of this thread can be made. 😉
I have no problem with a foot fetish (I have one... but we'll table that.), but the whole underage background of this thread paints a disturbing picture. A picture so disturbing that the cops will throw you in jail if they find it on your hard drive. 😉
