Does weight (fat) affect ticklishness?

I believe so, but would like opinions of others. Take a girl who is 5'3 weighing 100 vs a girl who is 5'3 weighing 300, not looking into anything else but the size. Before anyone gets offended, I don't want to start a flame war and yes I used politically incorrect term, fat, because that is my question, does fat (not necessarily weight because people can be tall and weigh much) affect ticklishness. Back to the 2 girl question..if armpits are lightly scratched/caressed, I suspect both girls would feel the same sensation, but if there is any deeper tickling, such a digging (WITHOUT HURTING) into ribs, or as I call it - counting ribs, wouldn't the skinny girl feel more tickling because there is less blockage or protection? My question is not about a specific 1 or 5 girls that you tickled, trying to prove that heavy or skinny girls are more ticklish because they appeared ticklish to you, but my question is about the overall aspect if fat affects ticklishness.

Since when did the word "fat" become politically incorrect?

If you're fat, you're fat. Right?

Ticklishness is felt through nerve endings in your skin. Firmer tickles aren't an attempt to push through the skin and whatever is beneath it to get to ticklish bones or something. The differing sensations between light and firm tickles are just your nerve endings sensing differences in pressure on your skin. Everybody's skin (which contains nerve endings which sense and perceive a ticklish touch) is on top, no matter how much or how little you've got beneath it.

Now, I imagine that if someone is overweight enough that they've suffered complications of diseases like diabetes that destroy nerves, then yeah, I guess kind of fat would indirectly lead to less ticklishness, but I don't think that's the question you were getting at.

honestly not sure where to go with this one... as someone who is 5'2" and not the typical 'skinny' person... im kinda with Skip here in saying its the individual person, not really their size. i'm rather ticklish enough (ask femfttickler21) and i dont see how being 'skinny' would change that.

Agreed. Even if there was some sort of correlation between weight and ticklishness for whatever reason, it would be negligibly small compared to the natural variance from individual to individual that exists regardless of weight.

hmm not sure, i have noticed that since i've lost some weight my ribs and sides are a touch more sensative.. but that could just be me..

Calling anyone by what they really are and not sugar-coating it is apparently taboo in today's society.

I've gotten called out for saying people are black, asian, whatever other race, fat, skinny, etc., even just to describe a person (not so much the fat/skinny there). My boss once pulled me to the side when I was describing a girl as 'asian' saying that I shouldn't be doing that because it's not right to say, or some shit. She was the only damn one in the place! What else am I gonna say? Oh... the chick, kinda darker skinned... short, thin... has hair.

In other words, you just gotta look at people, completely disregard your first thoughts and move on with whatever you were doing.

It's getting to the point where so many people are hypocritical. They have the exact same thoughts as you, but if you're the one to say it, they're gonna jump on it to try and be 'better' than you.

But in all honesty, the people like this tend not to have a great sense of humor, and are generally unpleasant to be around to begin with so I just try to avoid them.

I agree with you Speed, now answer my damb question, lol

I'll answer your damb question.

No. Ordinarily, it doesn't. Neuropathies make a difference, but that's something else entirely. Just because you're fat, it doesn't mean that you can't have sensitivities. In other words, just as Skipadoo told you.

I don't think it does either. I used to think spidering a girl's rolls would drive her crazy but if she is not ticklish then she is just not ticklish.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think a better question be "what happens to one's sensitivity as they gain or lose weight".

"Fat" is a word that one can use to describe people....but it has very negative connotations to it so I refrain from using it on people as offending people is not my goal. Simple. Alot of times it's not what you say (you're simply posing a question) but how you say it.
