Does your real first name *fit* you?

Sometimes COMMON and BORING isn`t so bad....

I'm not a fan of Adam. It's common, boring, and you can't do anything with it. I guess that suits me though. -_-

Particularly as you go through boot camp! My DI`s had PLENTY of fun with me!

Mine DOES work good with my wrestlers, though!

All things considered,I guess it fits. Many don`t particularly like it(Or ME!!!!),but few ever forget it! But not to worry! I`ve CERTAINLY been called a lot WORSE!!!:woot:

Well I think my name fits me quite well. Except I often get mistaken for Melissa and I'm like "NO YOU IDIOT!!!" My name is not Melissa yuck!

I like being a Melanie it's perfect for me.

I do like my middle name too and think it also fits sometimes I go by it, but not often.

omg i'm sorry! i called you mr. music in the btr chatroom, should have been ms. music now that i know 🙂

I love my first name and wouldn't change if I could.

My family calls me by my full first name.

My friends call me by its shortened version.

My girlfriend/love of my life calls me by a version I couldn't tolerate or stand until I heard it out of her lovely voice. I really love that she's the only one who calls me by that version. <3

*spits water on monitor* BWHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAH!!! MUch love to the Gazer! ^5

I've always thought my name (Sanna) was dull because I can't do anything with it, and
people always mistake me for a "Sandra" instead.
All my life I've wanted to change it to Amanda or Cajsa or something more... "princess"-like..

Does my name 'fit' me... not really.

Do I like it... NO.

Would I change it... absolutely.

Soon enough I might 'pull a Costanza' and try and give myself a nickname... Like 'T-Bone'! YEAH, that'd be sweet!

When I was growing up I often disliked my name because no one could a) pronounce it and b) spell it. I also got made a lot of fun of and called Delilah and Liar. Stupid school age things that really made me hate my name.

As I grew older however I recognized that Lila is a very unique name which suits me well because I am a unique person. I feel privileged to have a name that is not common and I feel that it reflects me well. I have also looked up the meaning of my name in many different languages and realized that not only is my name beautiful but it means many other beautiful things as well.

All things considered, although I wished I could change my name when I was younger (to things like Victoria or Anastasia) I am now quite content and happy with my name.

People used to miss spell my name a lot when I was at school which really annoyed me.
But it was worse when thet spelled Sean but pronounced it "seen".
I used to go ballistic and sometimes refuse to answer.
I went to a sports presentation at school once and they called out "seen" to come and get his award, and I refused to get up and recieve it.
I was 16, it was only a small school, and had been at that school all my life. I figured it was about time they got it right. lol

Nope! My name was supposed to be Valerie (my mother told me). Every book, card, and keychain that share the hidden meanings behind my real name are always wrong (way off)! LOL It's has gotten to be quite funny, really.

I actually bought a name book, and it is pretty cool to look up the people I know and think, "Wow! This is spot on!" or "Nah, whatever!" Valerie is spot on for me.

I used to hate my first name, and absolutely adore my middle name. You don't even WANT to know how much, but that changed when I met Alexwarfield. I NEVER get tired of hearing him whisper it in my ear, even if it was the wrong name to begin with.

Sunny
:Kiss2:

My brother's name is Sean.

Hm, my name (Robin) is Ok I guess. I´ve heard worse. ;D
(like "Günther" or something xD)

Rusty. Lawlerz. ^^

Just kidding. 🙂

I've always dug Joana. It's unique in it's own way, I guess.

I used to hate my name, especially since my mom decided it would be a good idea to name me after a cabbage patch doll..

But now.. Not many people my age have it and it seems to fit.

Of course I go by a shorter version (Cindy) because it sounds a lot more fun.

I've always pretty much liked my name Nicole. I think it fits me and I wouldn't change it. There have been times where I was annoyed by it growing up because there were a lot of Nicoles growing up. But I'm glad my parents named me Nicole rather than Jennifer. Around here there were always a lot more Jennifers than Nicoles.

Though, the only other annoyance I have about it is being called Nikki. Only my family and close friends call me Nikki, otherwise it sounds too childish. A few teachers took the liberty of shortening my name in school but once I started high school I didn't want to be called Nikki anymore. I preferred to be called either by my full name Nicole or the shortened version Nik.

I still inwardly cringe every time someone who's not family or a friend calls me Nikki.

When i was living in Houston years ago i was nicknamed Rusty by someone and lots of people knew me by that name only.I kind of liked the sound of it but when i moved to Austin it didn't stick and no one has called me that since.

And for some of you troublemakers here theres no need to start, comprende? 😛

(Glares at Kered and a few other miscreants who are always looking to start something.)

Rusty, huh? 😀 That's not a bad nickname. My brother's best friend's father goes by that nickname. To be honest Rusty fits him better than his real name Richard does.

Hmm, I think maybe I shall start calling you Rusty. What do you say, Rusty? 😛

I have never been a fan of my name of Stephen, not too sure why as it’s a fairly common and normal name, as well as their being a lot of Steve’s out there that seem to fit my nerdy style at times. But I still don't think it fits me.

however I will never change my name for 2 reasons.

1st while I don’t like it I can’t think of what I would like as a name in its place

2nd It is my name my parents have given me so it would be very disrespectful to change it.

Beside it could have been a lot worse.

Sure Wanda,no problem.😛 Its actually an amusing story how i picked up that moniker, perhaps i'll post it sometime.

An urgent plea too everyone! Please, please refer to nemesis as Nikki henchforth!! 😛

oh hecks no....Cassandra is such a prissy lil' princess name I can't stand it.

All hail Princess Cassandra who plays with barbies and like tea parties...

erm...No

I love Cassandra, Mike Meyers in Wanye's World even sang "And her name was Cassandraaaa" at the guitar shop, lol.

I fit my name well, but I'm just an initial, my mom had no imagination.

J.
