I recently asked a clip store if they would start doing some clips I like, I feel the reply was a very good one & it looks like next month the clip store is going to try & get clips I like done. Here is thread http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?t=175959

I've been a member here at the forum since 2001 & if you have read my post/threads in the past you know how I feel about the customer always coming first. I feel no matter how many clips you buy 1 or 100 your opinion should count for something & the clip store should honor it. I've spent a great deal of money over years with many clip stores & have made request with many clip stores & most of time my request falls on deaf ears & that is not right at all. There is one clip store http://www.clips4sale.com/studio/152 that will not answer/reply at all to my request & that is not right. I understand that if I don't like the product I don't have to buy, but with this clip store I spent a great deal of money over the years with them & feel that I should be heard & my opinion should be taken VERY SERIOUSLY! There is another clip store http://www.clips4sale.com/studio/19120 that gave her word on something & broke her word at least a dozen times already. Anyway I could go on & on with the clip/video stores that have & are upsetting me in the past. But I think EVERY clip store needs to take a page out of the clip store mention in the thread above. That clip store will get more of my business & they know how to treat customers. Again click the link see for yourself.

I hear what you are saying and I have to agree with you.
I think it is rude not to atleast respond to an request or suggestion.
And yes it makes it even worst when you spend money at their site.

But what can we do.....
 
You give them money, they give you porn. I understand where you're coming from, but it isn't a democracy; they're going to make what they can or think will sell most and throw it out there for whoever wants it.
 
My opinion about this is mixed. Yes, the customer should be heard out...and responded to (unless they're simply repeating themselves after having been denied in the past.). But, this isn't always a strict business arrangement for every producer.

Many of the "producers" out there are simply private folks who enjoy playing with their patners/friends and figure they can make a few bucks by offering clips of that play for sale. This fact does not give everyone else the right to demand that those folks play according to someone else's taste/preference.

Back when Drew & I first got together, we did a few vids and made the mistake of sharing them. I got swamped with e-mails requesting that we do this or that...some of it in no way related to tickling. I was shocked and disgusted by the arrogant and obnoxious tone of some of the e-mails we got. The result? We stopped offering our videos for sale and didn't make any more.

Yes, those who have stated that they are an actual business and offer customs should at least hear out any requests that are submitted. But, they are not obligated to fulfill every single request sent to them. "The customer comes first" means that you make sure they're happy with the product you already offer, not necessarily that you change that product to cater to their every desire.

You bring up very good questions. First, yes if people are producing videos/clips for their own pleasure & want to try & make a buck that is fine I'm ok with that & the customer should understand that. Also if clip stores have never done anything you like in the past & you've never bought from them before, then a customer shouldn't expect them to do things they like now. But if a customer has spent a large amount of money on a product over the years & the clip store is no longer or hasn't done the product you like for quite some time now, which got you to buy from them in first place. What is the customer to do in this case?

I do agree that the customer should be heard, but as ticklegothgirls said, the studio is more than likely going to produce the content that (seems) to be selling the most for them. This doesn't at all mean you shouldn't be able to request a custom video, but, it's such a competitive industry that sometimes you start going in a different direction to see if it will give you an "edge" over the competition, so to speak.

Anyhow, sorry if I went a little off subject, but my response is a definite "yes," the customer absolutely should be heard. I try to listen to everyone's suggestions and comments until I receive an e-mail that outright offends me, but that's a whole different story altogether! LOL! 😉

Buy somewhere else! If the bakery around the corner doesn't make my favorite rolls anymore, I also buy them somewhere else.

The clip store produces stuff that is easy to sell. Custom clips are often offered, but they have a higher price.

True enough. LOL! 😉

I definitely have no problem being "reasonable" with custom clips...it really comes down to what the models rates are per hour. There's just no way I'd be able to do a custom for $20 (yes, I have been asked that before) when the model charges $100/hr for shoots. Other than that, I'm all for pleasing the customer, because if it weren't for them I wouldn't be able to stay in business. I know it's cliche' to say, but the customer really does come first IMHO. 😉

After a day of reading the replies I got on this subject so far. I feel a little better. It was nice to hear SoleSearcher a person who has a clip store say that the customer comes first. Also yes rhiannon, if I don't like the product anymore I can go buy clips at another clip store. Pretty much that is what I said at the start of this thread. The point of this thread was to get the other clip store owners to see what one clip store is willing to do for a customer. That clip store is doing the stand up thing & will get my business in the future. As for the subject of custom clips/video I'm having trouble getting what I like done also from clip stores. The problem is not price or what I'm asking for a custom. The clips stores that I'm request customs from just seem to not want to take the time to do them anymore, that how it seems anyway. So if any clip stores don't mind making money & want to do a foot tickling custom for you can private message me anytime.
