I just wanted to post a warning to all members.

I loaned a guy in New Jersey by the name Dave S one of my videos.....he said he was going to loan me one of his videos. I thought he was an honest guy....but Dave has turned out not to be, and not only stole my video but wont return any emails or phone calls. I have tried many mnay times for him to simply return my video...but he won't. So, I guess I have to chalk it up to experience.

I have learned a valuable lesson....don't get burned yourself!

There are many members of this forum who have been trading tapes for years and have developed strong reputations for reliability (nontkl, etc).
There's no need for you guys to be trading with unknowns. I don't care if somebody has 3,000 posts in the last month. They're unknown.
Before you do another trade, put up a thread inquiring about the person you're going to trade with. Ask if anyone else has ever traded with this person. If you see that your thread gets responses from some of the staples of this community, then it's probably safe to trade.
If not, then as St Louie said "chalk it up...."

Unknown Factor

Dr. Bill here,
I qualify as one of those unknowns that Wallstreet alluded to, having only been around the TMF(and the internet) for a coupla months. I have a small but steadily growing tickle tape collection and am eager to trade with trustworthy folks. I already have a solid reputation amongst people in the B-movie/fringe cinema circles as a reliable trade contact, and would be happy to trade with decent people here. I know exactly how St Louie feels, having been burned on occassion. Considering the many years I've been trading however, not too too many ripoffs out there...
