It depends on the ler/artist. Stroking rather than poking will cause a ticklish reaction. 😀

I've actually found this to be a great, playful way to tickle girlfriends who weren't into tickling without getting all creepy about it. Obviously, you have to be pretty comfortable with touching each other before you try to pull it off. Start on the toes, which should only be slightly ticklish, then continue the design down onto the sole. Bunches of balloons work really well -- then you have to draw the lines down to the person holding them. It's sweet, and, done with markers, tickles like hell without being all about the tickling.
