Dress sox increase ticklishness...?

I went to a formal function last weekend so my wife and I were dressed up. I had on black dress socks, and I was sitting in a recliner. She took one of my feet in between her legs, held the toes in place and tickled the sole with her nails and I have to say; with those thind black socks on it tickled WAY more then usual. I went ballistic to her great delight of course.

Anyone else find this with those kind of socks?

Well they could act similar to nylons where they fit snug against the skin. I would not say they have any amplifying effect, but they may help to spread the sensation a bit.

However, there may be another factor to look at here. That is the surprise factor. If your wife does not regularly surprise tickle you that may have contributed to the effect.

I particularly like dress socks on a ladies foot. I think that it does add a little something to the exchange. The exact tactile mechanisms at play, I couldn't tell you.
