DRM-less video producers?

Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section, mods, you guys can move it to the appropriate place...

Im just wondering if there are any video producers here who offer alternative clips to those offered on clips4sale.com that DON'T have DRM? I use Linux as my main OS, and I can't even legitimately play any of those DRM'ed .wmv files, which is what many (if not most) of the video producers on clips4sale distribute. Theres TONS of stuff i'd want to buy from various producers, but im not going to pay for anything that i cant even watch...

Do any of you producers offer your clips without DRM on a company website, rather than clips4sale?

Yeah... DRM is definitely a pain in the ass. I wish I could help you, but I don't know much about Linux.

What file format would be easiest for you? We can do most file formats without DRM, once you buy the clip its your for keeps.

Mine are .wmv but I don't use DRM on my clips.

yea, and i would suspect that the majority of us dont buy clips just for the sole purpose of sharing them on a filesharing network (at least i dont).

But i can view any video file format using Linux applications and having the correct codecs, so simply using regular .wmv files isnt the problem...the only problem is that theres no codec to allow you to view any DRM'ed .wmv material. It wont even allow you to enter in a username/password, all you can see is pixelated encrypted garbage (i tried viewing some of my clips4sale RealTickling videos in Linux, and noticed this). I haven't tried any RM files that require username/passwords, but i suspect it should work since RealPlayer is ported to Linux also. Im just having serious trouble with M$'s DRM'ed .wmv files.
